TIL Lesotho can fit inside South Africa with room to drive around!
Not to brag but our cosplayers
are fucking amazing.
Not to mention our fan artists
are extremely talented
and their works are absolutely
inspiring.
And the show/webcomic itself
brings a ‘togetherness’
like no other.
It shows the world that no one is alone
and we’re all brothers and sisters
at the end of the day.
And no matter how often there is conflict
be it countries with their political problems
or just best friends trying to sort things out
It will always resolve
and come right back to being
Caring
Carefree
Accepting
And just plain silly!
It teaches us about culture
And history
and how to respect it.
This is a fandom that is
Remarkably
Positively
Extraordinarily
Perfect.
Proud to be a Hetalian!
Once seen, must reblog.
[Even if you’re an ask blog]
THIS POST! OH MY GOD THIS POST!
This post is beautiful. I’m so proud to be a Hetalian.
Beautiful. Proud to be part of it!
(THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING, ITS JUST SO GREAT THOUGH)
I LOVE THIS FANDOM

HGH Event Week
Results are in!
The majority vote has decided that the next event week will be a Fantasy AU!
Participating muses will be turned into any fantasy creature of their mun’s choosing!
Someone also left a comment, asking for a Wild West week, so that will be added to the next Event Week survey! Keep sending in suggestions!
The majority said that any week would work for them, therefore we’ll go with the 2nd highest score.
August 1st - 7th!
The best tea is fandom tea! Check out the HeTEAlia blends on Adagio Teas. I created these blends myself because there didn’t seem to be any good Hetalia fandom teas available so I made my own. if theres a character i’m missing that you’d like a tea for just let me know and i’ll get right on it!
http://www.adagio.com/signature_blend/group.html?group=12622
These teas, made by my good lady friend here, are rather well thought out and worth looking at for the descriptions.
It’s like a Nations as Teas post. Except I do less work :3
(Also this whole website is worth checking out if you love teas. There are so many for so many fandoms. AND you could make your own!!! I would love to be sent more Hetalia themed teas.)

How to get you life together in 3 easy steps
We Did Science!
First of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH to everybody who participated and who helped spread the word around! I would mail all of you hugs if I could.
Second, I asked people who ran Hetalia Google History (hgh) blogs about themselves and their experiences running their blogs, and you all delivered. We’ll walk step by step through what we learned.
Woah! It’s the results!
The Basics
28 participants took the survey! These 28 participants collectively owned 65 hgh blogs! More about that:
Blog ownership
I asked everyone to tell me how many hgh blogs they owned, and they told me that:
Most people own 1 hgh blog
The most hgh blogs that any one participant owned was 6
The average number of hgh blogs per participant was 2.41
But how much do they enjoy these blogs?
Gruntlement (The Good Stuff)
The first set of questions was designed to asses, on a five-point scale from Strongly Disagree (1) to Strongly Agree (5), people’s feelings of satisfaction about running hgh blogs. Here is what we found:
“Friendly”: The owners of hgh blogs seem friendly.
“You interact”: You interact frequently with other hgh blogs
“You feel involved”: You feel involved witht he community
“You enjoy hgh”: Exactly what it says!
These results tell me that most people seem to be enjoying themselves around here, and that most participants agreed that hgh blog owners seem friendly! So why wouldn’t people be enjoying themselves? Well…
Disgruntlement (Not So Good Stuff)
This was a set of questions a lot like the above, but designed to see what kind of unpleasantness was happening with people. We found:
“Anon hate”: You receive a lot of unpleasant messages/ “Anon hate” through your hgh account
“Out of the loop”: You feel “out of the loop” when it comes to the hgh community
“Chore”: You feel like running your hgh blog is a chore
“Do not enjoy”: You do not enjoy running an hgh blog.
On average, participants did not agree with any of these statements, and that gives me hope. Out of the problems I asked about, most people seemed to be feeling out of the loop more than anything else.
For better or for worse, what do we do with these blogs?
Activity
I asked, on a five-point scale from Never (1) to Always (5) how often people did certain activities. Here is what we found:
The most common activity seems to be reblogging from other hgh accounts, while the least common seems to be making art for one’s hgh blog. Interestingly, people report that they send more asks than they receive. I speculate that, for whatever reason, people notice sending asks more than they notice receiving them, or that people tend to send their asks to the same blogs repeatedly. More research is needed.
Events
Remember Pirate Week? That was fun! Thankfully, a lot of you seem to agree with me. When I asked people what they thought of events, this is what they told me:
*This individual noted that anxiety prevented them from participating.
It must be noted that int he case of the three individuals who selected the “Other” option and gave me a comment, I sorted them into a category that fit what they told me. One went to Do not want to participate, one went to Want to participate, but do not, and the last went to Want to participate and do.
People who commented told me that anxiety and life kept them from participating.
About You!
I asked people how old they are, what their gender identity is, where they’re from and if English is their first language. Some people declined to say, and they are represented by the “Nope” category. The graphs for age, nationality, and gender identity are rather self-explanatory:
Please note that the chart for gender identities represents the identities people shared with me. For example, there is a category for “Male (Trans)” because people told me that that is how they identify, and not because of any personal belief of mine.
In addition, some people listed regions or ethnicities as nationalities, so they were listed under “Nope” because I could not reasonably sort them. Sorry!
That being said, most of you are 14! And most of you are from the USA! And most of you are female! Holy smokes!
Also, most of you grew up speaking English as a first language! Those of you who didn’t told me that you grew up speaking German (there’s two of you!), Mandarin, Afrikaans (Dutch), Spanish, Italian, and Swedish!
Comments
Thank you to everyone who commented on the survey! I have received such gems as
One very long “Yeah boi”
A heart
A series of question marks
A single dab
And a whole slew of people who gave me valuable information that I used to help interpret the results.
Thank you all so much for helping me science! If you have any questions, comments, or complaints, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Love,
Jay
P.S. My own information was not included in this survey because that’s what we scientists like to call unethical. Also, @itsromanosgooglehistory kindly asked to be tagged in the results!
