Michael Jackson In "Smooth Criminal" MV/SF, 1988
He's doing so well
His fucking face 😭
#REAL
Lisa is the only woman in Michael's life y'all consistently give grace to, and it's pretty obvious why: she's white, and A LOT of y'all live through her because of her marriage to him. 😭
Y'all will criticize D*ana (rightfully so), Stephanie (rightfully so), even his own SIBLINGS and pretty much EVERYONE else who was in his life for 50 days and 50 nights. But the second someone brings up the fact that Lisa was in the tabloids calling him weird, adding fuel to the nasty accusations and smear campaigns against him now it’s “parasocial.” Had she been a POC/Black Person we wouldn’t be hearing the end of it!
Like imagine if anyone else in his life said that they thought Michael should h*ng from a tree? Y’all would bring it up every chance y’all get.
Don't even get me started on how y'all act like Lisa was the only woman in his life up until his death and that every time he spoke about a woman it had to be about her.
Michael made it pretty clear that he was involved with multiple women throughout his career, but he respected their decisions to stay out of the public eye.
Lisa using guilter's language and implicating Michael publicly with her words is enough for me during 2003-2005 era and she deserves the criticism that she gets in the fandom.
Her supporters always say shit like oo but Michael got over her and forgave her so you should too. Michael explicitly forgave Joe Jackson also so should we stop criticizing him?
Another point is Lisa was just bitter you know, she had her reasons. Bitch be for real. If Lisa's reasons for publicly shitting on him is justified, then everyone who publicly humiliated him is also justified. You can't conveniently justify one person's reason and then criticize others. Have the same energy for everyone.
This has to do with her being white cause why TF does Jermaine get more criticism from her followers??
Please

"The most beautiful people I know are the ones who remained gentle after life gave them every reason not to."
Im gonna be sick...
#this show is a comedy
He had the most beautiful eyes ever but also the saddest eyes...
these pictures ohhhhhh my gaaaaaawd like can you imagine being his date and wearing an equally as sparkly dress with diamond accessories
I also think a majority of men cannot fathom that Michael Jackson--a straight, black man--could present masculinity in a way beyond machismo, aggressiveness, and domination. That Michael was soft-spoken, kind, loving, and in many ways demonstrated a maternal nature toward children and adults completely shatters the prominent ideology around masculinity. As does the way Michael presented himself, wearing makeup, wearing beautiful clothing, surrounding himself with beautiful things, embracing a childlike wonder in a world so broken. Not only did Michael's personality and appearance unsettle the locked crypt of masculinity that men and society at large bury themselves in, but the fact that, at the same time, his fans, the world, and a hell of a lot of women loved it. They loved Michael. They wanted Michael. They aspired to be like Michael. They saw him as The Man in many ways. The very traits men deem as feminine, many saw as what a man should be like, and I think that fact, to this very day, absolutely fucking terrifies those who cannot free themselves from a patriarchial world view that legitimates itself on violence and domination.

A few thoughts no one asked for:
> Go see the movie again. It was like a hug to the nervous system tonight.
> I'm not really seeing a lot of discourse abt the doc outside of MJ spaces (maybe bc it's the first day or maybe it's bc of how much I protect my peace 🤷♀️).
> The footage is so blatantly manipulative & debunkable. Why misrepresent court transcripts that are publicly available unless you have a psychotic vendetta? My guy is dead. Again, I ask, what is the endgame? 😵💫
> I am dying at the OG fans assembling with rebuttal videos like the goddamn Avengers. Thank God for every single one of ya'll. Lord knows I couldn't do it. My head would explode.
> Will some watch it & believe every misrepresented piece of information? Sure. The creators of these docs know how lazy current viewers are & how to play the emotional card. Slap spooky music over grainy footage & dramatically zoom in & out 500 times & ppl will believe anything. Especially when it comes to MJ. If ppl wanna be that dense, let them be.
Whatever. I'm gonna spend the rest of the month celebrating him & I hope ya'll do as well. Life is too short 🌻🌻

I am on Twitter and except the MJ space and the usual guilters, I saw no one talking about it. Everyone is bored with this.
