Quirinus: Oh... Silly me...I was worried I had upset you...
Quirinus: I'm sorry... I didn't realise...
Will: Quit apologising, you're all good, Q.
Will: How's things been for you?
sweetyanli:
“It doesn’t sound bratty,” Hana assured him, shaking her head. “You’re passionate about the game. I don’t think that’s a bad thing.” She looked down at the book in her hands, lifting it up with a small smile. “I’m passionate about reading. And learning. And, well, large, loud crowds make my head ache.” She lowered the book back to her lap.
Will nodded as he was appreciative of her words. They calmed the beast in his mind that was ridiculing him for his behaviour. His eyes cast over to the pitch where he could see players zipping around like tiny flies. It was only the movement that caught his attention.
“I don’t really have the attention span to read, I can’t focus,” he admittedly quietly. “Is it any good?” he questioned. “I have The Hobbit in my bedside drawer.”
At her words, Will could relate somewhat. “Crowds make me trip out. I can’t deal with the cagey feeling, being trapped. It’s why I like my broom. It’s just a way to escape that.”
Oi, Wood. What do you and Moaning Myrtle have in common? You're both miserable, moaning twats. - Love, Remy.
How’s your Mum? She missed out on all the excitement over here with the dementors. Shame, they must be good friends by now.
really-remy-p:
Oh, it was Dementors that came to the school? Funny, I looked out the window and just thought it was a family reunion for you.
That the best you have? Really. All I have is pity for you.

Lily saw a shadow passing on Will’s face but, as soon as she noticed, Will was smiling again, no sign of the shadow ever stopping on him…
Lily chuckled after his comment on Coco. “I can’t not see it again. It’s simply too good not to be seen again! Moreover, can you say you really love Disney if you haven’t seen every film at least twice?” she said raising an eyebrow and then laughing.
After his words, Lily widened her eyes. “Never?! Not even one? I mean, I get that maybe boys don’t like the genre but some of them are good” she said smiling. “I always enjoy one when my day isn’t really working” she added, chuckling a bit. “They give me hope, you know? That love’s just waiting somewhere…” she said, ducking her head a bit. “I know, I know, I’m an hopeless romantic…”
Lily opened her eyes, letting her eyes wander on Will’s features. She tried not to notice how close he was to her and how much her heart was beating fast. She felt a strong blush grow on her cheeks, however, she didn’t want to move her gaze. She wanted to remember as better as she could that moment before everything ended…
“And go through all that pain again? No thank you,” he quipped in response with a grin. “I love Inside Out too, all the memories and things, it’s a nice concept,” he paused in thought.
Will looked across as his eyes left the wooden bed frame and landed on her. “My Mom has had The Notebook on in the background but I’ve always gone off to my room. I don’t like being emotional too much, plus when I just start crying over nothing when a movie is on, it’s embarrassing,” he grinned, finding humour in the situation than true humiliation.
His gaze stayed on her at the words that filled his ears. He could feel his heart in his throat. Will opened his mouth a little before words failed him, he wasn’t brave enough.
“Nothing wrong with being hopeful,” he uttered as his gaze dropped to the space between them. He somewhat wished that he could be brave, that he could tell her. He was just too scared.
Dropping his head, he moved over as he had found himself in her hugs so often. It brought comfort and safety. “I promise we’ll go back to your dorm later, if not, you can stay over,” he offered. Right now she was safety and he was a little selfish in how reluctant he was to leave her.
PM] Hey, urm, d’you wanna hang out sometime? I Uh, miss seeing you around. Let’s not make this weird. I just, yeah. Let me know?
PM: Where would we be hanging out and what would we be doing? - Q. Quirrell.
quirrell-on-campus:
pm: Okay… Sure. I’ll see you there.
PM: Hey, don’t stress okay? Look I get it but I’m not here to fuck you over. I don’t know how I can prove that to you. There isn’t really a way for me to do that unless you manage to find veritaserum some how. Other than that, you’re just gonna have to take my word on it. I just wanna be cool and hang out. Just friends okay? No pranks or tricks or anything like that. I promise.

Lily was enjoying walking with Will down the path to Hogsmeade, holding hands, shoulders touching slightly at every step, hearing the birs chirping around them…
Lily chuckled at his words. “I don’t think there are any date topics, if you know what I mean… we can talk about anything, as always, or remain in silence… I truly enjoy both options” she said, smiling softly at him, rubbing her thumb on his hand, trying to relaxing him. “What’s important for me is being here with you” she continued, blushing a bit hearing her own words.
Lily shrugged with a sigh. “I hope they went well. I studied, don’t get me wrong, but I always have that feeling I did terribly wrong…” she said, shaking her head. “It’s kinda stupid, isn’t it?” Then she smiled as Will kept tapping his fingers on hers. It was cute… “Yours?”
At the word Honydukes, Lily’s face lit up. She loved sweets and everytime she went to Hogsmeade, that was her first and favourite stop. It was like entering the doors of Heaven, through her eyes. But she tried to calm herself a bit to answer WIll’d question. “I will gladly accept your offer” she said, smiling widely. “But as you said, first Honeydukes!” she exclaimed, starting basically to drag him towards the shop.
As they entered the shop, Lily took a long, deep breath. The smell of sugar filled the air as oxygen and she loved that! Around them, shelves full of sweets and candies were waiting to be emptied. Lily turned to Will with a wide smile, her eyes full of wonder and joy. “Where do we start?”
Will smiled brightly as he listened, “yeah I can’t really picture a date topic,” he chuckled. He softened at her words and let his shoulders relax. The comfort on his hand kept him settled as he casually brought up things like school and quidditch, casual talk they usually carried out.
“I’m sure you’ll have done fine, more than fine even, you’re clever,” he spoke softly. “Mine- I always over worry so I can never really tell until results come back. However,” he paused before looking across at her. “I feel like they went reasonably okay,” he shrugged.
Before he knew it, his arm was being yanked and he was dragged in the direction of Honeydukes. Laughing to himself, he made sure his feet kept up with her excitement and breathed in the ecstasy that was sugar. “Everywhere,” he answered, eyes glistening with excitement as he too adored sweets and sugar. He had a stash underneath his bed.
“I need several chocolate frogs, my collection is missing a fair few,” he began as his eyes traced the wonderful delights. “Oh! Have you tried fudge flies, they’re one of my favourites- oh and droobles, I need a packet of droobles for class. Keeps me entertained.”

imwilliamwood:
PM] ……… yes.
pm: Oh… I’m sorry…
PM] So let me try that one again. 7pm. Clock tower? I’m being my Switch to play some games and possibly a blanket as it’s cold.

PM] Why you gotta make it sound like I’m about to murder you and ditch your body in the lake? I just wanna hang out. I don’t know. Clock tower? 7pm? I’ll push you off and hide your body in the broom closet. I despair with you.
PM: ….Is that a joke?
PM] ......... yes.

As he spoke again, hearing better his craoky voice, a strange anger she never felt before grew in Lily towards Remy but that really wasn’t the moment to get mad. “I know, it’s just… I can’t believe a Gryffindor did this to you…” she shook her head. “He deserves detention or worse…” she muttered, her eyes slightly lit up.
Lily was happy Will accepted his touch, but her worries grew even more when she saw how his face darkened as he fell silent. He looked so helpless and all she wanted was to hug him and tell that everything was going to be fine… but she simply squeezed gently his arm. Seeing how he reacted when she brushed his face before, she tought that was enough for now…
“I…” Lily moved her gaze down. Even though the sadness, she couldn’t help but blush a bit hearing Will’s words. “I didn’t know how much I meant to you… and I understand that you want to protect me, and I thank you for that. But please, let me protect you too, alright?”. Lily took a deep breath. “I’ve never felt like this before, and… it scares me a bit; but you’re right. Those feelings are the only anchor we can hang to, and what I know is that I don’t want to lose you” she finished, metting his gaze. Now her eyes were not wet anymore, but they were filled with a new energy and force she couldn’t ignore.
“Yeah we both lost house points,” he shrugged. “I broke his wand, which he’ll probably flaunt about now,” Will said with a little regret. It was a rather taboo subject to break another’s wand but the fight or flight instinct had been to remove the threat. His wand had been that threat.
Will looked up to meet her gaze momentarily when she mentioned wanting to protect him too. Dropping his head he smiled slightly before running his hand through his hair. “I keep breaking down on you lately, I gotta stop doing that,” he croaked wit ha hint of amusement in his voice.
Leaning over, he let his forehead gently collide with her shoulder before his let his shoulders sag, she was the best comfort. “I swear I’m not usually this much of a mess,” he mumbled before letting his arms find their way around her. “You’re okay though right?” he asked pulling away briefly but still making sure they were close. He’d been worried seeing her so upset. “You mind if I be annoying and stay with you for the rest of the day?” he spoke fondly. Brown eyes dancing his gaze over her face before he lent in and kissed her cheek. He didn’t want to step over a line.
His gaze stayed on her for a moment as it had done many times. A lazy smile tugging in the corner of his mouth. The way he’d looked at her across the great hall or class room for the past few months. It was small moments with feelings locked inside. Quiet glances over library sessions when she wasn’t looking, yet now circumstances were a little different and feelings were out in the open. “I-” he began before looking down quickly before meeting he eyes again. “Ignore what I said earlier? I meant it and- and there’s nothing that would make me happier than to y’know...” Will smiled slightly already feeling his cheeks heating up. “I want that, I want us. But I completely get it was the wrong time. I just panicked. Which I’m sorry for.”
bbrutallybbella:
Whilst gathered in the Great Hall; Bella sat alone waiting for someone to pull some kind of accusation on her which she really did not do anything. Alone with her thoughts, she tends to fiddle with her rubber band that was kept on her wrist. She then felt someone approach her beyond her presence.
“Whatever it is I did not do it nor was I involved so bugger off.”
@newagestarters
“You’re telling me that you weren’t the one dancing with the giant squid last night at four in the morning?” Will quipped. It was clearly a joke to lighten the tense mood they all felt.
He felt somewhat bad after their last conversation so he was doing his best to make amends. With all fingers pointing at Slytherin house right now, he figured keeping friends was better
Sitting down beside her, in his usual spot at the dinner table, he had to keep his routine in order. Reaching over her took some bread and poured himself a drink. “I take it everyone else has been giving you a rough time too about all this?” Will asked. He was little more himself lately. The fight with Remy was starting to settle in the past and the bruises on his face were starting to discolour and heal. The anger in his bones was settling and he felt a little more like Will.
“You good?” Will asked quietly, not completely sure where he stood with her.
'Cause I got issues But you got 'em too So give 'em all to me And I'll give mine to you
kroonda:
“oh, right. you’re a regular old genius, sure. not like anyone else can run a club or get good grades, right ??” lucy snaps, laughing humorlessly; of course realistically she knows it’s not his fault, not necessarily, but she’s angry and frustrated and needs someone to blame. “but what the fuck are you doing to protect anyone ?? grades and quidditch aren’t all that matters when shit like this happens. but sure, keep protecting your snakes.”
“Eh, I’ll take the compliment,” he shrugged it off. “Because that’s what I said? No. I was merely defending the fact that you seem to think the only thing I can do is organise quidditch. Which as I said, I do rather successfully alongside my studies,” Will spoke blankly. “D’you want me to deliver that line again so you can think of a better comeback?” he spoke sarcastically.
“No, I’m training to be an auror and a damn good one at that. How since the start of the year, as an older student, I’m supporting younger students in duelling club so they can learn to defend themselves. But no, you continue telling me how I’m practically useless because you’re scared and looking for someone to blame,” he spoke, tension rising towards the end.
“It’s always the same. Something happens and small minded people always turn to blame Slytherin. Y’know kids from our house were attacked too. Kids. I’ve been hauled up next to a first year for the past few days who would wake up crying from nightmares about a hooded figure. He happens to wear a green tie to class but he’s still a kid. He’s still young and as vulnerable as a Hufflepuff or a Gryffindor or a Ravenclaw. The colour of his tie shouldn’t matter. This whole war plans to separate us..look at what you’re doing here.. and you consider yourself better that that?”
“So I’m sorry. I will go on protecting my snakes, if that means a scared little kid who has also suffered in this event, can leave that hospital wing without getting blamed for the attack too.”
smrtmouth:
lana had been doing all she could to help, the attack weighing heavily on her conscience despite it not being her fault. somehow, she couldn’t shake the feeling that the death eaters were involved in the attack – after all, why else would dementors be just wandering in the woods? – and her mind wandered from there, coming up with the possibility that perhaps her father had been involved. could she have stopped it ?? maybe tried harder to dissuade him from attacking a school ?? did he even do it ??
she’s just finished running an errand for one of the students when she spots william wood leaving the wing. she’d heard he’d been admitted prior to the attacks, heard whispers in the halls about a fight and she wonders if he’s even gotten clearance to leave the wing. then again, he wasn’t moving quite quickly enough to plan a sneaky escape. he seems frustrated and lana decides she should help. it’s the least she can do.
“alright, move back !! you all know not to crowd the door.” lana’s voice comes out in a commanding snap and the younger students immediately move towards the walls to ensure she’s able to get through. she steps towards william, frowning. “they’re just trying to help. i understand that you’re frustrated and in pain, but they might be too – don’t forget that others are hurt in there, and this may be all they can do to try and help.”
Will raised his eyes to the commanding voice.
“They’re hear to gawk, dementors aren’t common things and attack students is a pretty big deal. Those who are close would visit,” he spoke plainly. It was just an opinion and not one he was really enthused on fighting over. “I’m aware they are, which is why giving them as much privacy as possible in this time is important,” Will murmured before moving past her
He had to get away from the crowd to put himself at ease, that and so he could lean his weight on the window-ledge and not put so much strain on aching bones. Drawing in a heavy sigh, he cleared his throat a little before letting his eye-line fall to the floor. “What actually happened?”
The Slytherin was worried. He hadn’t heard anything about this in the meeting he attended over the Easter break. It had been a smaller meeting granted, yet it still left him nervous.
“Do they know if this is a Death Eater organised attack?”
l1ly-3vans:
As Lily heard the name, her face darkened. She knew Remy, not well, but he saw him different times. He was a Gryffindor and she had different chances to spend some time with him and he didn’t seem so bad… “I’m so sorry…” she muttered, as the guilt of another Gryffindor was her own guilt. She repeated the apology when Will flinched under his touch. “Does it still hurt?”
Lily smiled weakly hearing Will’s words. “I’m happy to hear that” she said, with a little smile on her face. Even though she didn’t knew at all WIll’s mom, from his words she reallt seemed one of the best people on this Earth, especially because he made Will smile everytime he talked about her.
As she heard the question, Lily shook her head, but she didn’t say anything. She listened to Will carefully, her heart aching more and more as he spoke. She didn’t truly understood how much she meant to him, and she couldn’t even dared to imagine the fear he had been through. And it was worse thinking she could’ve lost him without even knowing what had happened, without being able to say how much she cared about him…
After his last words and after seeing the look in his eyes, Lily shook her head. “No” she said, placing an hand on his arm, gently, as she didn’t want to scare him or make him even more upset . “I don’t want you to go… right now, you’re the only one I want next to me…” she sighed. “I didn’t explain myself well before, did I?” she said then, fixing her gaze on her hands. “I only made you upset… I’m such a mess with feelings and finding the right words…” she muttered, but she really wanted to make Will understand how she truly felt in that moment. “So many things happened in a small span of hours and… I feel all these so clearly that I can’t ignore them, even if I try”. Lily took a deep breath. “The dementors, the hurt students… then your fight with one of my same House, someone I know… I feel so guilty for that, like I was the one who hit you. But then you ask me if I want to date you and of course I do! You’re the best thing ever happened to me Will… I really can’t imagine going back before meeting you. But… it almost feels wrong being happy now… but I want to be”. Lily raised her eyes, meeting his. “I want to be with you and smile and laugh… I want to hold your hand and never let go…”
Will craned his neck a little before nodding. “Just sore,” he croaked. “My voice is the frustrating part,” he murmured before shaking his head. “Don’t apologise for him.”
He adjusted his weight in his seat as she settled her arm on his own. He was jumpy, on edge, fearful of touch right now. Yet hers offered a little comfort. He turned towards the table as he looked down at the wooden surface, a welcome distraction from the distraught inside him.
“You didn’t,” he answered. “I-” he went to spoke before he fell silent. He couldn’t tell her. The past week had his stomach feeling like a washing machine with unease. The mission demand he’d been given, the meeting he’d attended, the argument with his father, the fight, now the attack. It was all just a little too much for him to handle right now. This was war. It wasn’t easy.
“I- things are unpredictable and ever changing. Nothing is for certain right now but the one thing I am certain on is how I feel for you. How you make me feel. How this war may not matter when I’m around you because you make all this.. madness.. worth it. I know I’m out of line and that maybe I’m being incredibly selfish but this war is making me realise how little I have. My mother-” he stopped as he hung his head and tried to swallow the emotion inside him. “My mother I could lose and I need to keep her safe. You... I need to keep you safe too. I don’t wanna say that word but you’re a flicker of good in all this darkness and I need to keep you safe. I care about you. I- how I feel, inside me, that-” Will sighed heavily, thick with frustration. “I feel like talking isn’t really helping myself here.... Can we just forget I opened my mouth?” he asked sadly.
❝ dementors in the school is not acceptable ! somebody had to have known that this was going to happen. ❞ andromeda hasn’t slept since the attack, trying to help as much as she can – she was no good at comforting people, couldn’t spend her time reading to the injured in the hospital wing, but she knows people, knows how to get information out of them. perhaps she can find out something important. ❝ do you remember hearing anything ? even if you think it was idle gossip, it may be important. ❞
Will looked across at her with a blank expression. As far as William went, he looked considerably more ‘done’ with life than he usually did. Usually he was quite a springy character but the slight glare he’d been wearing the past two days was a polar opposite to the usual grin he had on. He was definitely in a mood, then again, he couldn’t be blamed.
“No,” he spoke after making her wait a moment, a rather anti-climatic answer.
“I was in the hospital wing, next minute they were rushing people in. Someone mentioned dementors, that’s all I really heard. Madam Pomfrey worked her magic, no pun intended.”
He looked over, his face and neck were still black and blue as a result of a scrap with Remy Perrot, a Gryffindor. Will had come off worse out of the two. “I don’t- there was just a bunch of kids who were brought in, nobody seemed prepared. The Professors were there during the night and when they were talking, they seemed just as surprised about it all. Someone knew sure, but nobody in the castle, at least that’s what I’m assuming. There was no warning.”
Will dropped his head as his voice was straining. The damage to his vocal chords was still prominent. Leaning his head to the side as he settled into the common room chair, a quite area near the windows. “My question is the dementors are controlled by the Ministry, last I heard at least. I’m not saying it was a Ministry planned attack but I’d be worried if someone else was controlling them instead.”
