I hate him too!!!! To me his vibes are always off, like something about him is wrong.

I have the head canon that he was somehow abusive in his previous relationship and that is the reason why his previous wife ran away (and not because of an affair, like they told you on the telenovela)

I don’t now, maybe I’m thinking to much but I will always feel a little scared of him, specially when Aldo cornered Letty on his office. Those scenes were wierd in a bad way.

i remember the forum girlies making threads about how aldo was showing signs of being an abusive partner and how his wife (that u just reminded me he had), left him bc of he was abusive and not for another man. i dont remember the scene ur mentioning but i remember he was just weird and off putting. something about the way juan soler played him…like do u know something we dont?

there’s something off putting about michel too (like how he prefers to drive rather than being fine with betty driving, or how he insists they both order the same drink to remember cartagena even tho she said she just wanted her usual jugo de mora). but you could brush that off bc michel is really trying to sell her on a job opportunity. so it’s fine. 

but aldo…..there was something wrong with him and u cant convince me otherwise.

ok i'm actually losing my mind over this headcanon bc it actually really fits? like, i've never been an aldo fan but i chalked it up to my bias for fer, bc aldo was fine in acapulco. then after my first rewatch i was like no, he was definitely manipulative and you could argue the things he did to try to win over lety in mexico city were lovebomb-y. but again, as a fernando fan, who am i to be complaining about lety's love interest being manipulative right?

the only difference i can really put into words is that unlike fernando, aldo just seems very calculating. the way he'd assure lety that he was a safe space for her, validating her feelings and acting like he really wanted to help -- to then losing his cool all the time bc omg how can she STILL be in love with fernando when aldo's making all of these grand gestures for her? it's off-putting for sure

and at the very least, you can argue that he's repeating the same behavior with his wife now with lety by only thinking of his wants while ignoring lety's feelings
