WEEK 18: THE LAST WAVE
“Expectation V.S Reality!”
Of course this is our first time to build a start-up and this is our 2nd product for our company as expected there will be more to correct in what we do. We are prepared for sure by that time but we never expect that sometime the least expected is the most to happen in the reality.
At our pitching we feel doomed by the time one of the judges mention one of our competitors which only me in our group that have small knowledge of it and i know it 2 days before we present. We responded very good in some question that we surely know but when they always going back to our competitor which launched for past months and since it is new so it is not that popular but one of the judge is friend of the owner and by that time we feel down and disappointed.
As we go out to that door we have a little conversation as a group and tackle about what happened lately and we have the same thoughts that we never expect that there will be another competitor that will show up in the middle of nowhere. Lesson learned, we/you should update time-by-time for new competitors. “Mistakes are always there to test how strong you are, get up and fix the things you can and start over”. But we never regret what happened in our presentation. at least we defend what we can and we respond on what we know based on our journey.
This subject thought me lot of things, not just by marketing but all about business. “It doesn’t mean that you are an inventor then you don’t need to know how to market your product” . I commend our instructor for putting such a big responsibility on handling many group of start-up and not just by group but also updating one-by-one’s blog. Thank you for the wonderful journey.
