I have issues with the movie adaptations, especially how they chose to represent (and cut chunks of development from) my favourite characters. But no matter what I always love just watching them and there’s one reason why - the music. It’s phenomenal and perfectly encapsulates the world of Harry Potter for me.

After the Battle of Hogwarts

-Hermione does an internship at St. Mungo’s and picks up some new healing spells and potions (just in case)

-Ron got into the habit of at least scooping some food onto Harry’s plate as he piles his own sometime in 3rd year to try to make sure he eats. Even after everything, and the Weasleys insist Harry stay for awhile, he still serves Harry’s food and eventually all of the Weasleys pick up the habit so whoever is sitting nearest always puts a bit of food on his plate and they all know what his favorite foods are.

-Ginny sees Lily in the garden one day, a garden snake slithering thru the girl’s fingers. She is whispering something Ginny can’t hear and Ginny runs out the back door, heart pounding and as she kneels next to her daughter she hears the girl quietly singing a song she made up, entirely in English, and Ginny begins to cry as she remembers a cold dungeon and being covered in blood not her own and a strange hissing noise coming from her own mouth.

-Neville discovers a plant that finally allows him peaceful dreams, that keeps away the nightmares he has of Ginny and Luna screaming, of not having gotten to Nagini before she got to Ron and Hermione, of seeing what he thought was Harry’s corpse. He regularly sends some to Harry and hopes it helps.

-Teddy LOVES chocolate. His first birthday he and Harry share a giant bar from Honeydukes.

-None of the Weasleys ever has a pet rat again. They do get a dog though a massive wolfhound

-James picks a snowy white owl and shows her proudly to Harry who smiles sadly and strokes the birds head.

-George goes to every single one of Ginny’s games and always tells her how proud he is of her no matter if she wins or loses

-Hagrid finds the very rare dead unicorn every so often and every time he shudders

-McGonagall has a small army of cat spies and has 3 of them always tailing James
