girls, if a guy you just met at the bus stop (or anywhere ofc but this is based on a recently observed situation) is persistently making conversation with you and ends up asking for Very Personal Details like which bus you take to work and where you go in the city… YOU DO NOT OWE HIM A RESPONSE!!! Please, you don’t need to keep conversation going and convince yourself that he’s just being polite. His questions are NOT okay regardless of his intent and you can either explain that to him (most wouldn’t) or make excuses to not continue the conversation, or change the subject completely or look at a stranger and start talking to them or any number of things except just people-please and respond. Please know this! No matter how young you are, you do not owe any stranger your details of any kind and ALWAYS listen to your gut/female instinct instead of the rationalising voice of “I’m sure it’s fine…” that comes up after you have sensed something isn’t right. And if you feel that you need backup, trust me that most females around you are ready and willing to randomly chat with you or pretend they know you or even speak up if you need them to. I’m absolutely not saying that all men are untrustworthy and all women can be trusted but I’m saying that girls have each other’s back and understand.
