So I have a nervous stim where I rub the palm of my hand and I’ve rubbed it completely raw. I’ve been really struggling to find a way to not do it so my hand can heal. I made this, super simple, single crochet in a round that fits around my hand, attach a chain around the thumb and then more single crochet. So far it’s worked pretty well. I can still rub it, and I don’t damage the skin more. So yeah this is a thing

For today’s offerings will be for Poseidon. It will be made of crushed and powdered sea shells, pink himalayan sea salt, and water of course.It may not be much but it’s what I have, and it’s the thought that counts, right?

So today I have decided to act on my promise to the gods to put out offerings for them! I have a little offering chalice/cup thing that i am going to put them in, starting with Zeus and then making offerings for the rest of the Olympians. They will all be left out for a single day due to their perishable nature (food and drinks will be added sometimes) and to make it equal and fair for everybody (we all know how jealous some gods and goddesses can get). Today’s offering for Zeus will include milk, a white feather (chicken because eagle feathers are illegal in my area), a drawing of a lightning bolt (a piece of printer paper cut into the shape and colored with a yellow/gold sharpie), some clear quartz, a silver earring, two golden earrings, and a golden ring set out next to the chalice. I put everything in the chalice and then added the milk. Lets see how he likes it after I put it on my windowsill for a day!

Update: I think Zeus liked it because shortly after I put it out the milk turned the yellow of the lightening bolt, but when I took it apart for today’s offering the lightning bolt picture I put in it had not lost any color. The milk wasn’t really spoiled so much as warm, so there’s what I believe to be another good sign.

I think I am going to create a google doc and make lists of what I want to offer each of the gods/goddesses I plan on making offerings to... yeah I think I should. Check back at a later time to view it!

Sometimes a to-do list is too much for me, and that’s okay. Sometimes it’s better to not look at it and take everything as it comes because being overwhelmed and doing nothing helps nobody. Being dragged down but still completing some basic tasks is something, and both are still valid.
