Recommended by a friend (Courtney) last night. I watched this movie earlier and cried at least three times. Although a spoof, homage and horror film in its own thrillingly refreshing and genre bending combination, it was Sam’s relationship with her mother that tore at my emotions. A rather strong element, her desperate attempt to alter the past and save everyone, especially Nancy stayed at the front of my thoughts right behind the ever present threat of death posed by Billy Murphy.

I grade The Final Girls, an A and “horror done right.”
