the way naruto closed his eyes, clutched his heart and thought of sasuke when he saw a shooting star
not me looking away when furida spoke for the first time and wondering how the fuck zoro got lost in the narutoverse
Someone needs to give kabuto some feminist literature
Tsunade did
i fear this smile would work on me
i used to be the biggest sakura hater until this fight
in the og naruto sakura was written so shallow, she almost seemed like a (bad) gag character. but in shippuden? whole different person
she's smart, strategic, strong... dare i say she could probably beat half of the male characters with no problem?
i'm so happy. as a woman it was kinda hard to look past the terribly written female characters but seems like that's changing!
sakura girl as long as you're gonna act this tough you may simp for sasuke as much as you want and i won't hold it against you lol
ah what a beautiful scenery
perfect for some guy on guy action
thanks for the warning i guess? :’) one of my favourite characters btw
fire fist ace dies on the battlefield! flashbacks intensify

i like uchiha itachi because his name lowkey sounds like two consecutive sneezes
akatsuki org: capturing naruto is our top priority
tsunade: naruto please go save gaara from the akatsuki org
the outfit upgrades in shippuden hello????
and sasuke is a swordsman now??????? this is going to be great
i need to finish naruto asap so i can indulge in all the delicious content freely
this is torture
i can't be the only one who dislikes this transformation, right?
sasuke deserved better :')
naruto is a walking juxtaposition of naive, childlike ambition and hard-earned emotional maturity.
from the very beginning, i appreciated naruto’s childish side: his larger-than-life ambitions, his loud, unfiltered honesty, his simple yet stubborn worldview, the goofy confidence masking his insecurities, his craving for acknowledgment, and, of course, the endless joy he feels over the smallest of wins.
he is so endearing it's hard impossible not to like him.
but the more i progress in the story, the more i see that this childish side of him is paired with unmatched maturity, emotional intelligence, and clarity.
during naruto and sasuke's final fight before shippuden, naruto so beautifully lays out his feelings for sasuke. he understands exactly why he acts how he acts. why he feels how he feels. he recognises that he sees so much of himself in sasuke, but also so much of who he wants to be.
in contrast, when naruto expresses his feelings toward him, sasuke responds in the only way he knows how: by belittling naruto’s experience and positioning himself above naruto. his ego is fragile (if not completely broken), and he can only act out of desperation and urgency.
seeing this final fight and interaction made me appreciate naruto in a completely new way. i always felt that he would be the one to instinctively heal those around him (looking at you, gaara), but now i know for sure.
sasuke deciding to not kill him in the end was the perfect ending. he may be pursuing what he thinks are his own dreams right now, but even so, he wasn't able to kill naruto.
that's just the kinda guy naruto is.
can we take a moment to appreciate how they incorporated the water surface walking in this fight?
