People experiencing psychosis appear to have lost touch with everyone else's interpretation of what is going on around them.
My mom is immortal 😭
WHO DA MAMA DOE?!
this is getting wild
but for real who da mom?
Who??
I’m guessing the one on the left is momma
KNOW THIS, BEFORE YOU TRY TO BEFRIEND ME
This sums me up way too well.
“Don’t call Trump supporters nazis, it hurts their feelings.”
Yes, this is real (link to tweet). Yes, Tucker Carlson is literally repeating Nazi propaganda that aided the genocide of the Romani during the Holocaust. Yes, I am furious.
(Also, although there is a large population of Romani in Romania, they aren’t indigenous to Romania. They’re a diasporic group originally from northern India.)
Romani and Jewish have been screaming at the top of their lungs for years about neo-fascism in Europe, and Americans were totally aloof.
Then neo-fascism reared its head in America, but Roma and Jews were left out of the conversation in terms of people being impacted, because our oppression was “over.”
Now Tucker Carlson is on live TV using slurs and Nazi propaganda about Romani people, and I’m 90% most people on the left are just going to ignore it.
The so-called “pro-life” movement’s philosophy.
One of the best political cartoons that I’ve seen.
You know what pisses me off about this? Really, REALLY pisses me off? That’s George (H.W.) Bush holding that umbrella. He was president 1981-1989. Do you get that?
It means that the right have not budged an inch on their ridiculous pro-foetus, anti-actual-persons position in THIRTY GODDAMN YEARS. We should not still be having this argument! Thirty year old political cartoons should be bafflingly opaque, not crystal clear!
^ Reblogging again for that comment.
So our village hasn’t had water for over 14 days now. Israel usually turns on our water lines every ten days, but have skipped the last scheduled water opening.
As a result, many people’s wells are running out while we’re in the middle of a massive heat wave.
Homes her are built with large water reserves, either in the form of big plastic tubs on top of the house, or underwater wells. These reserves are filled on the days Israel allows us water (although it’s limited and these reserves aren’t always filled all the way) and when they run out…. You’re completely out of water. No toilets, no showers, no drinking water, etc.
To compound the issue, on the hottest days Israeli settlers turn their ACs up creating a massive spike in electricity demand. To compensate, our electricity is shut off.
So we’re in the middle of a heat wave with no water, little electricity, and severely limited movement, facing intimidation campaigns by Israeli soldiers and settlers, and yet we continue to be “in the wrong” for fighting to change this half-life.
Today marks the 15th day without water due to Israeli restrictions. Here’s an Al-Jazeera articles detailing Israelis policy of dominance through the control of water, for those interested: http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/06/israel-water-tool-dominate-palestinians-160619062531348.html
As you’ll see in the article, it’s not even caused by any remote scarcity of water, but simply because Israeli chooses to deprive Palestinians of basic water needs while allowing Israeli settlers to fill their swimming pools and consume on average three times more water per capita than Palestinians.
Palestinians on average consume 73 liters per day, with the World Health Organization standard is at least 100 liters, while Israeli settlers - the people who receive all our water when Israel cuts it off to us - consume on average 369 liters per day per capita.
Today is day 16 and still running on nearly depleted reserves
Can you please add dates so that we know how recent this is? Are you still without water?
Yeah I realize that dates would be useful - today’s date is July 6th, 2017, and as mentioned above it’s the 16th day without water.
job interview: we need HAPPY, MOTIVATED people!!
my depressed ass:
trump: *pulls out of the paris agreement, severely harming the current global efforts to combat global warming because he’s either too fucking stupid or too evil to see that it’s a big deal and also starts the process of wiping out net neutrality, an objectively horrible thing for everone that isn’t a massive telecom company executive and will cause untold levels of damage on our ability to communicate through the internet*
media:
trump: *makes a spelling mistake on twitter*
media: OMG have you heard of
COVFEFE??????????????????????????????
look i really hate to be that person who takes anything seriously on this hellsite but i’ve had it up to about here with the “trump is an evil mastermind distracting us from the real problems instead of an unstable, senile old man with a tenuous grip on reality” conspiracy theories so i’ve just gotta do it today
# of nyt articles on “covfefe”: 27 # of nyt articles on the paris agreement within the past 7 days: 292 # of wapo articles on “covfefe”: 54, but most of them are short mentions in news roundup blog posts so i’ll let it slide # of wapo articles on the paris agreement within the past 7 days: 288 # of politico articles on “covfefe”: 17 # of politico articles on the paris agreement within the past 7 days: 142
too tired already to get into the net neutrality issue too but the point is: if you’re getting all your news from twitter memes, of course you’ve heard more about covfefe than actual policy, but the root of the matter isn’t that journalists aren’t doing their jobs and reporting on the real issues, it’s that you’re getting all your news from twitter memes
“holding grudges isn’t good for you” yeah well neither is people hurting me and getting away w/ it so here we are
Just found out neanderthal passed on the DNA for depression and now we know why they stayed in caves and painted horses all fuckin day
i’m politicising my instagram because it’s now or never #forthemanynotthefew 🎤
under a tory government the following has happened: -cuts to dozens of sectors of the NHS (particularly social care) -homelessness has increased by 110% since 2010 -housing benefit for young people has been scrapped -refusal to accept more than 480 child refugees -scrapped over 10,000 mental health nurses
people are suffering out there. in a country as rich and prosperous as the uk, homelessness should not be an issue. we can’t feed the poor but we can fund a war?
