Anybody have any suggestions for trying to draw creatures sans humanoid or quadruped forms? I’m trying to think of how to draw some of the creatures I’ve designed, but plenty of them aren’t humanoid or quadruped.

As well as avocados, things with caffeine period, rat poison, and some other things that I’m too lazy to do some deep research to find. However, because he’s got a humanoid form I’ve been debating the ecology on what exactly he can eat that’s not poisonous to birds of prey- nuts and fruit, for example.

Oh my gosh okay here we go you nerd2. Did you design them with any other characters/OCs from their universe in mind? Yes? I mean, I have so many characters that I don’t want any two exactly the same, but I did want a bird and a lot of my birbs are from different birb races so4. In developing their backstory, what elements of the world they live in played the most influential parts? The fact that floating masses of land exist and that magic is integral, I suppose.6. Is there any significance behind their eye color? Not really. Green is usually caused by two parents carrying the recessive green eye color gene and passing only blue and green genes onto the child, so…8. What (if anything) do you relate to within their character/story? Oh. Gosh. Probably the fact that Kanta often feels so lost without people around. He’s not too social, but he still needs people there, so an integral part of his story is that he’s looking for company and gets mixed up with so much trouble because of it.10. If they have an LI, how much of their character is tailored to be compatible to that person? Soooo none of it. Kanta is highly uninterested in finding a mate- he wants a group of people to hang around with and not be so lonely all the time and that’s it.12. What have you found to be most difficult about creating art for your OC (any form of art: writing, drawing, edits, etc.)? The drawing came first, but most of the issues are trying to find similarities between birds and humans and trying to make a humanoid form that fits with the anatomy. The general anatomy between a human and a bird don’t go together too well- birds lean forward and have no arms, as well as legs that bend backwards at the knee compared to a human’s upright posture. Plus, feathers.14. If you had to narrow it down to 2 things that you MUST keep in mind while working with your OC, what would those things be? Birds can’t eat chocolate (it’s poisonous to them- so is coffee) and the fact that he’s smart while not being overly educated.16. What is something about your OC can make you cry? He’s such a pretty and smart and gentle and nice bird but has like one friend in all the world18. What is the most recent thing you’ve discovered about your OC? He might have a high interest in science and the inner workings of mechanical engineering.
