my dear darling friend Jae is fundraising for surgery that NHS doctors admit is necessary, but they are withholding treatment on account of their weight. there is no medical reason to refuse someone lifechanging, necessary care because they're fat.

disabled people shouldn't have to go private to access care, but this is increasingly a reality in the UK for those of us with chronic conditions. i also have endo+adeno, nowhere near the scale that Jae has, and it's agony.
