All White on the Night || Levistus & Eira || Para
eiradima:
The darkling felt at one with Levistus in a way that she never had with anyone, not even her father. But she had felt this way before: in the winter, in the snow, surrounded by ice and wind. One thing she did understand with all of her heart was what it was like to harbor a feeling inside, a connection with forces she could not easily put into words. He neednât say anymore about how to summon the giants. She knew what it meant to feel something in her very being.
Eira met his gaze easily, unafraid of anything the demon might say or do. For a split-second, though, she looked mildly surprised. On some level she expected the demon to refuse her request. After a lifetime in the dark, the young girl raised in Night Haven had so many questions that sheâd started to believe that she wouldnât or couldnât know all the answers to them, especially since her first experience with a true demon proved far too intense for her to handle.
As Levistus kissed her forehead, she was overcome with feeling. He would not only tell her what she wanted to know but also what she didnât, what she was capable of, what her fate could be when entangled with his. As soon as he was done talking, the darkling wrapped her arms around him tightly, hugging him as hard as she could without damaging his borrowed body (she wasnât sure if it was as strong for being possessed as hers was for being inherently demonic and didnât want to risk it). âThank you, thank you so much,â she said, voice hushed with sincerity. âPlease,â she added with urgency, pulling back to grasp his hands in hers to reinforce her plea, âLet us start now.â
He was please by the surprise on her face when he agreed to help her and answer her questions. It seemed that perhaps she had been seeking such truth and coming up short for a while. He would be glad to be the one to bring her the knowledge she sought. She could very well become a powerful ally and a close friend to Levistus. He was looking forward to seeing how the secrets he would reveal to her her would help her grow both in power and as herself.
As she hugged him he could only smile. He hugged her back and stroked her hair lightly. âThink nothing of it my dear girl.â he said to her. When she pulled away from the hug and took his hands he smirked to her and gave her a soft nod. âOf course.â He turned his head to the giants. âBe gone. Go about our business. Continue my plans. Do not fail me. And if any of you should feel the call of miss Dima you are to respond as swiftly as you would to my own call. Obey her as you would me. Understood?â he asked as if he needed any clarification from his servants. The three of them nodded and bowed deeply to them both before turning and walking back to the hole in the ice. Each of them fell in but there was no splash of water, the noise they made as they disappeared was a sound of them being warped through the void back to their home plane.
Levistus turned to face her again and he gave her hands a small squeeze âTell me. Where would you like to begin. What would you like to know first?â he asked tenderly.Â
