“what was that about?” she turned to levi once they’re out of the coffee shop as they head toward levi’s car.

“nothing don’t worry about it. where’s hailey?” he asked as he unlocked the door to his car. the three had gone into town to pick up some stuff before going to the hospital to check on raquel and to be with the rest of the family.

“levi stop, let’s go. raquel needs us.”

“yeah levi, you better go check up on your sister. wasting precious time arguing with me when you could be with raquel.”

“come on, let’s go.” he turns to glare at connor before guiding bailey out of the coffee shop.

“oooo i’m so scared. please. you could try, but i think i would much rather see you fail more than anything in this world.” 

“say another word, go ahead. then we’ll see who the failure one is here.”

“my fault? oh no levi, you must be mistaken. this is all your fault. you should have known better than to listen to us pembroke family when you know damn well we’ll be the ones coming out victorious in all of this.”

“you better watch yourself, pembroke, or i swear i will kick your ass.”

“aaaaand whose fault is that?”

“it’s your fuckin fault, this wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t give me such screwed up plans that didn’t even work. if she dies, this is on you.”

“help you what? take something that doesn’t exist in that warehouse, that maybe a different family had already stolen?”

listening to the other, levi can’t stand connor sighs deeply as he runs his hand over his face, “my sister is fighting her life, connor, because of you my sister is in the hospital!”

“of course i knew, you really think i would give away a brilliant plan to someone well like yourself. and a plan that’s already been done?”

“the fuck does that mean, connor? i thought you were helping me out here.”

a fake gasp leaves his lips, “oh no, that’s terrible. so sad to hear.” 

levi soon realizes by connor’s reaction everything he was told was a lie and he knew they would fail. “you knew. you knew this whole time that everything would go wrong for us.”

“ah levi, how goes it?”

“how goes it? your stupid map that you gave me was a fuckin fail, and you’re going to sit here and ask me how goes it?”

“pembroke ! we gotta talk.”

he chuckles and shakes his head, “aight, aight, i’m sorry. you were saying?” he does his best to stop laughing at his brother as he listens to him. “aight i’m good, i’m good.”

“g’head, keep laughing.” he comments before shaking his own head, “oh and how’s xo by the way?” sure it was wrong to bring that up but he was already irritated with roman not taking him seriously.

a chuckle leaves roman’s lips before looking at what levi had pulled up on his laptop. “okay what’s so special about a diamond necklace? can’t you just get one from jared’s or something? you tryna to impress a girl or something?”

“did you come in here to make fun of me or are you actually interested in what i’m trying to plan?” sure levi had his dumb moments, but he was serious right now and wanted to get this necklace if his life depended on it, “for the record, this necklace sold for twenty-three point four mil. and was passed through different royal lineages.”

come had come back from the gym when he saw levi really focused on his laptop. “what’s up bro?” he asked walking into the family room looking over his shoulder as to what he was looking at. “okay, what’s this huh?”

levi was startled when his brother came into the family room to join him when he looked at his laptop. “oh uh just this mission i’m planning out and hopefully we or some can be apart of to get this diamond necklace.”

levi sat in the family room on his laptop, notebook out as he wrote out the plans for this next mission. well he only hopes that this could be a next mission. he goes through what connor had told him and made sure to add that to the plans.

“alright here it is.” he sat down beside levi and showed him ways to get in and where to go and where the jewel would be. “and bam, you’re out scott free.”

levi paid attention and nodded his head at what connor was telling him. “that’s it? seems simple enough.”

“c’mon no bad blood right now, promise. i’m good at getting into places without getting caught.”

“alright fine, just show me before i change my mind.”
