My piece for the #InspiredByAlice contest held on Instagram by Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls and Disney’s Alice. 

My piece was one of the grand prize winners, and was displayed at the Hero Complex Art Gallery in Los Angeles, Calif., until June 1st! 

This was inspired by paper cutting art, particularly artist Brittney Lee, as well as Anne Hathaway’s rendition of the White Queen in Alice Through the Looking Glass (Tim Burton, 2016).

Featuring the Haunted Mansion, Alice in Wonderland, and of course, my main Mickey Mouse.

It started with inspiration to connect all of the posts I was doing about Star Wars into one, cohesive post, since I was posting a photo a day to count down to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I’ve continued to do the same idea for the rest of my feed, for the most part!
