😅 What's a story or scene you've created that you're a smidge embarrassed exists?

Ahh...I'm going to have to go with pretty much all my smut scenes. I've always wanted to write about those most intimate moments between characters because that's when you see them as they truly are but good old religious guilt makes me feel embarrassed by it. I try to make sure my secondhand embarrassment doesn't bleed through into the writing.

⛔ Do you have a fic you started, but scrapped?

Yes, I do. It was a sequel to Dustland Fairytale where Javi and Reader end up taking care of a young kid that came in on one of the drug running boats and they end up getting into a territorial/parental rights fight with Mexican cartel members. I may pick it up again if I can figure out how to fix some plot issues but we'll see.

Oh boy. Um. I guess I feel like my beginnings are fairly strong. At least those are the easiest for me to write, they tend to end up being closest to what I set out to write if that makes sense.

my favorite thing in the world is reading a completed fic and the author’s note on the first chapter saying “i think this’ll be like 3 chapters!”

but i already know that it’s thirteen chapters

somewhere along the way, this poor author lost control of their life and the rest of us have benefitted immensely

I am so close to just creating a new tumblr.

I am still shadowbanned and after sending in five tickets (starting on July 21st) to support, no one has contacted me about why I got banned or how to fix it. It wouldn't matter that much but I still don't have my things and interacting with people on tumblr has been my saving grace during this transition time. I miss everyone. I miss leaving comments on fics and interacting with character analysis posts.

I miss my tumblr community.

Okay, so I had a bit of writer's block for the next prompt of Los Regalos but I finally figured it out! And it's going to be quite a bit longer than just a drabble. It's gonna be a doozy so hopefully it'll be worth the wait!

And hopefully I'll be done being shadowbanned...and I'll finally have my belongings. One can hope.

Yes dear anon I have been shadowbanned. I've put in two tickets with tumblr already asking to make it right but so far nothing has been done. It makes me very sad.

This is meant to be just pure fluff, comedy, and a dash of angst (because I apparently can't write anything without some angst making it's way in there).

You are witnessing an epic battle of wills. 

Two pairs of coffee colored eyes are narrowed at each other, scowls fixed on faces, and arms crossed in stubbornness. 

It would be fearsome considering one of the people is the commander of Search Bloc, laser focused on the capture of Pablo Escobar, having almost six hundred men and women who are the best of the best under his command. Broad shouldered, fit, and strong as a Clydesdale horse, he’s decked out in dress uniform, missing only the jacket and hat. Spit polished shoes, perfectly pressed pants, dress shirt, and tie, he is every inch a military commander. 

However, the person Colonel Horacio Carrillo is facing off with is his five-year-old daughter. Unlike her father, she is currently dressed in her grass stained fútbol uniform from the previous night. Nothing is neat, clean, or professional about her appearance but her little face holds the same level of seriousness as her father’s. 

“Go change, Chaparrita (shorty).” His tone leaves no room for argument. 

Unfortunately, it didn’t phase her. “No.” 

“Chaparrita-” 

“You’re wearing your uniform. Why can’t I wear mine?” 

Horacio lifts his eyes from his daughter to you, a brief look of pleading passing across them. You just shrug and smile from behind your coffee cup. 

“She has a point, Horacio.” 

He bites back a sigh and returns his gaze to the diminutive version of himself. “This is a dress uniform. I’m supposed to wear this to church, mija. Your uniform is to wear on the fútbol field.” 

She seems to consider this for a moment and finally uncrosses her arms. “Okay. That makes sense.” 

“Wear your green dress, mija,” you tell her as she passes by you. 

“I hate that dress, Mama. I want to wear the one with the purple flowers.” 

“That one’s dirty. Wear the green.” 

And the arms immediately go back to being folded. You glance over at Horacio, who’s smiling at you now and mouths “Your turn now.”
