after this many episodes, there were few that revolved around food, but an episode after a sports-themed episode seemed fitting that it would be related to eating and food. this and maybe he's watched too many episodes of tzuyang's youtube lately. he can't keep up with the likes of her, but he could eat a variety of small portions that suit him well. "i have decided to go to a meat restaurant and it's an odd time in the middle of the day right now so that i don't disturb other patrons while i'm here.... it's a lot less busy here than during rush hours. also i wanted to have foods that i normally wouldn't bother with cooking at home. i find oil disposal painful and difficult, sorry for complaining."

he had small portioned variety of different meat cuts from belly, brisket, and some risky strip of gopchang and daechang. and a huge host of side dishes including young kimchi, and radish kimchi. ooh. "they had a soup to offer for a side dish as well but i declined. i don't want to waste food and i don't think i have the hugest appetite. so.... grill is hot and ready to go. its always such an asmr experience being at a barbeque. while this cooks, i'm going to try out the side dishes. can never skip the ssamjang. i also love perilla leaves, and lots of garlic. raw is fine too, but throwing them on the side of the grills is nice too." he puts some kimchi on the side, along with the grills on the edges of the grill, while the meat stayed in the middle, cooking away. "i've never actually grilled daechang myself before.. and i cannot recall if i've actually tried any before. that's why i only have a tiny portion. it looks very greasy. maybe we'll leave that for the end and if it's too greasy, i will take that side portion of soup after all so i can put it in there to cut the oil. life hacks. okay this pork belly looks cooked enough. so here... perilla leaf, pork, garlic, and ssamjang." he wraps it in a bundle. "perfect."

depending on when this airs, it would co-incide or be around the time of when the world cup games would be playing. he didn't follow it in its entirety but he liked to keep up with the news and scores and watch when he could, especially if either canada or korea were playing. but his playing skills - probably subpar at best. "hello guys, today might be a bit less exciting than usual if you're not the sporty type, but its time to get into the world cup! this doesn't come around every year... some find this even more exciting than the olympics. but today i'm at a gym where there is an indoor football, or soccer field. i'm actually with a friend from school, who is a coach." the camera pans and it shows them in jerseys and shorts, and a football between them. "what we will probably do here is show you examples of what to do and what not to do when it comes to trying to score a goal. then we'll go into the basics as suwon walks me through the basics of a soccer player's warmup."

sure jisoo might look the part, but he definitely didn't play the part. his kick sort of goes towards the goalpost and... misses. then suwon does his thing and it swings right in, into the corner too. sheesh. "now that's the true mark of a professional, versus me! okay coach suwon. lead the way to the warmup... oh don't tell me it's laps? i'll cut this part or speed it up," he all but stage whispers to the camera, smiling with a look on his face.

"aaaand we're back." sometimes its surprising how the stint in lgc boys and performing for the musical has kept him in shape. jisoo's feeling limber and then there's the ball in front of both him and suwon this time around. "dribbling? i'm not so good at my footwork but i wonder if idol dance moves will be compatible with being relayed towards football too?"

”of course i have clean cups.” hyunhee rolls her eyes as she fishes two out of the cabinet, one for her and one for jisoo. “i’m not an animal. plus i have a dishwasher.” she looks down at the appliance. “it makes things easy for me.”

her eyes scan the fridge, deciding what she should serve her guest. she had lots of cans, soda, energy drinks, even single serve coffees. none of those felt right for this occasion, though. hyunhee ponders for only a minute more, knowing that if she held the door open for too long the fridge would start beeping at her. she grabs the bottle of sparkling water from the fridge, setting it down on the counter before turning back towards the fridge and filling their cups up with ice. the model rifles through her cabinet once more, grabbing a bottle of cherry syrup and adding it to the drinks. she finishes each cup off with a straw before joining jisoo on the couch.

“my newest hyper-fixation,” she tells him handing the glass over. “i saw one recipe on tiktok and now i’m obsessed! i have other flavors of syrup too, if you want to change it up a bit.” hyunhee smiles, bouncing in her seat a bit.

“fashion week was awesome!” she exclaims. “i agree, though. i couldn’t do it every week. there was too much going on all the time.” hyunhee pauses for a moment, biting her lip. “can i be honest? i felt a little self-conscious afterwards. what’s it called? imposter syndrome, maybe? but it just felt bad to be with all those other models who have been around much longer than i have. oh, and they’re so much taller too,” she sighs. she wasn’t expecting to dump all her feelings out so early, but jisoo did make the mistake of asking for it.

"oh fan-cy," jisoo quips as he watches with amusement at the creation of the drinks. it felt like he was at a booth somewhere, moreso than at hyunhee's place. he wouldn't have the patience to collect all of the items for this, but now he knew a few doors down, he could pop in for this drink if it was to his liking in the future. "do you do other combinations too?" he snaps a picture of it first before taking a sip, the sparkling water tempering for a fizzy mouthfeel.

"hyperfixations are hard to knock. don't let these products go to waste. although i'm sure its only the syrup that could eventually expire and you could use it for other things, like..baking. maybe? do you bake? i kind of started cooking more for the channel but i'm not that great at it, ha. maybe i should try baking something next..."

"i'm sure there were other new models too." jisoo smiles, having been there before after listening to hyunhee's honesty. "i completely understand the imposter syndrome though. it gets better, i promise. and height isn't all its about in the modeling industry, don't worry! i think a lot of brands have been improving with diverse models. i think i even saw a model with vitiligo at one of my shows, which i thought was inclusive. besides the self-consciousness, did you enjoy it otherwise? tell me about the positives too."

DISTANCE MAKES THE HEART YODEL? WEIRD

it is day ten of missing minseo and 424823 day of his break and he has moved from moping in his home to now moping on jisoo’s couch. “is this how it feels to be in a long distance relationship?” jino wonders aloud, he’s never been in one before and now he feels like there’s this depth in his chest that continued to grow deeper and deeper the longer he hasn’t seen minseo in person. 

he reaches for a pillow by his feet and hugs it to his chest, turning his body this way and that as if trying to find a comfortable space on the cushions provided to him. this won’t do — he missed her too much, should he call her? would that be rude to @lgcjisoo? jino turns his head to look over at the male, eyebrow arched as he gauges the other’s reaction to him whipping his phone out and calling his girlfriend …. maybe this wasn’t the time or place for it.

“have you ever been in a long distance relationship before?”

jisoo chuckles, turning over to jino which was actually quite a feat since he had become one with the sofa. thank you to former him who decided that yes, it would be a nice thing to furnish his apartment with pieces that he could lug around with him from place to place. long gone were the days of the one-room. ah, he still remembered.

"you are the living embodiment of mope." he only found it amusing because jisoo recalled the pain of relationships and the distance, especially in this industry. sneaking around. all that stuff that came along with it. the burdensome life of being in a relationship, and not being in one. but he'd rather return to the long distance bit than the whole... not knowing situation. "yes. it wasn't fun at all. it worked until it didn't, i guess. not that i'm trying to cause you the whole doom and gloom thing, because each relationship is unique. but i prefer being face-to-face - which can be difficult for people in the entertainment industry after all."

he pops over to the fridge to collect some more ice for both their drinks, before taking a seat back down. "is this the first time you guys are apart for a period of time?"

paint on spring

he hopes that he doesn't become that jack of all trades, master of none. never had he known that this is how his career would have gone in the direction of, especially from when he was that wide eyed, nervous trainee, following in the footsteps of his friend, keeho, bumbling through the years and thinking he'd never become a performer. he had his bouts in lgc boys, which was fun too - being able to perform with the others in the company in that way. it made him wonder if he made the choices at the crossroads too early... but then came the auditions for musicals and acting. jisoo didn't think he could do it either but there he was, rehearsing lines and practicing in workshops with the others, and he found himself gaining more confidence and the drive to audition. all of this in tandem with bringing aurora back to life, and having his own modeling career too... he's thankful, but he knows he's worked hard too!

putting the script away for wicked for the moment being (he's positive he's started memorizing other's lines too, rather than just catching on to line cues), it was a welcome disturbance to be on something such as a variety show. yes, he is booked and busy for may, and no apologies here. it would certainly be fun doing his own solo promo, along with group promotions with the cast of wicked in the next few months. granted it would probably be at the start or the tail end, because once the shows started, that is all the time jisoo would really have for things. this might be the beginning of the roller coaster, as he prepares for the interview on minju's pink cabinet. he loved watching some former episodes, and given what he's done on his own channel and various, this is exactly the type of content he would love to share. consumerism be damned. and yes, the set itself is as pink as it looks. having met minju briefly before they actually sit across from one another, there's another dusting of powder on his forehead and nose and final checks, and off he is to the races, bag in hand and ready to spill the contents, and the beans about his upcoming projects.

it’d been a while since the two of them had hung out together that wasn’t inclusive of their schedules. they were both able to travel together because of fashion week, film together for valentine’s day. being a part of the same career field as your family has its perks.

only if you can tolerate them, of course.

when hyunhee had asked jisoo to come over, she hadn’t expected it to be so soon. they lived in the same apartment complex, though. she was deluding herself thinking it would take him a while to get back to her with times when he was available.

the doorbell rings and she goes to get it. letting jisoo in, hyunhee kicks aside some of her shoes to make room for his. “you should have texted me more than like, ten minutes before you were coming over,” she huffs shutting the door behind him. “i would have cleaned up.” her apartment’s a mess as usual, but she’s not embarrassed by it, not in front of jisoo. but honestly, though, she wouldn’t have cleaned up regardless. that’s just how he is.

”do you want something to drink?” she asks heading over to the kitchen. hyunhee grabs a glass for herself

"i could physically walk back to my apartment right now and come back in five," he gives her a blatant look. they've been in one another's messier spaces before - this was nothing, seriously! but things were different years ago. if anyone asked him a decade ago whether he'd be getting closer or further away from family, he would not have guessed it'd be the former. and it was great. one step away from being roomies, he joked from time to time, to dig at hyunhee, but it was likely better for them to be in actual separated rooms.

"as long as you have umm clean cups, i'm down. but do you actually have anything other than water, because otherwise i will give you ten minutes because i'll go down to the convenience store and grab us some options." following her path directly, he peers over her shoulder to get an eyeful of the fridge. "you know what, surprise me." jisoo takes a straight 180 turn and goes and plops himself down in the chair, as if he hadn't been sofa-rotting in his own place.

"it's. so nice to just. have a breather. i couldn't do fashion week every single week, if you know what i mean. how was it? are you enjoying everything?"

I know I have many recent uploads talking about perfumes, but the best thing to do is to use these little samples - don't throw them away! It's often easy to dismiss and roll your eyes at these sample sizes, but they often last a week, giving you the opportunity to smell the different top, heart, and base notes, rather than the initial impression in shops.

hyunhee has dipped her toes in many aspects of the entertainment world. once she had wanted to debut as solely an idol. now that she’s a model, she’s realize how much nicer the world can be, how many opportunities open up. she’s not an actress by any means, but it’s something that interests her. featuring in this short film for lgc’s annual love month event excites her, especially once she spots jisoo and a plan forms in her head.

”you think i would give up an opportunity to work with my favorite person?” she asks excitedly, tilting her head as a smile forms on her face. “plus, it means less work for me! i love a collaboration!” hyunhee laughs. “we’re a good team, i think. plus,” she says, humming softly. “we’ve got the upper hand when it comes to familial love.” she pauses for a moment, then her face contorts.

“well, its kind of cringey when i say it out loud like that.”

"quick, get that magic in the recording studio before the cringe wears off. i think saying something like familial love would fit the bill, genuinely." he shoots hyunhee a long look, wondering if maybe it had been a bad idea to approach her after all. certainly it'd be easier with anyone other than his own cousin right?

"but i think that really would be the angle to go off of. i wonder if people even know of us being cousins all that often?" jisoo might mention it here or there, maybe drop it during a vlog but he's unsure if any general fans had caught on. then again, they were a pair of models with some other type of gigs here and there. they didn't garner the same type of notoriety that the idols got, especially with that type of publicity. "i think if we did mention something cutesy about how familial love is a great bond, or something along those lines, it'd probably record quite well with some of the animations they had planned... but again, how cheesy do we want it to sound....?"

makes the world go round

jisoo was stuck between choosing to do a recording on self-love or familial love but... he would only do the latter if hyunhee turned up. they had set out an arrangement for the models and actors to do some recordings, which didn't feel long at all... considering what they typically did. cameras or the spotlight were on them for much longer than 3 minutes. in fact, they might run.. out of time?

even then, spreading it between two people might make it more relatable since self-love could come across multiple ways. when he spots a very familiar bob, jisoo calls out. "hyunhee-yah! i'm glad i caught you here. so...? skit together, yes or no? we could definitely plan it out a bit first, unless you've already recorded yours? then you could possibly judge what i ought to do with my bit. i don't want to come across conceited." there was nothing written on his sheet of paper yet, blank as his mind, but he knows the ideas could come quickly.
