❆ SCENERY
jun had been so nervous watching his last episode with mina for he didn't know what the girl had really decided. he'd seen many couples complimenting each other, just to ditch their partner in the end. he was ready to accept that she'd prefer someone closer to her age, someone more experimented, more charming. basically, the complete opposite of him. yet, surprise, she had decided to keep him as a partner. he still feels ashamed from the way he had beamed at the screen. while he holds no feeling for the woman, getting rejected, even platonically, always hurts. he doubts he would've gotten over the feeling of humiliation.
but that's just an if now as he heads to the meeting spot. cameras are following him, and while he doesn't say much, he's a little more relaxed than on their first 'date'. this time, he gets there after her. she's the one standing and waiting, and the one coming from behind. he wishes he would dare cover her eyes with his hands, just like she had done on their first meeting, but he doesn't have the courage to do this. so he taps her shoulder gently and extends his arms in front of him, holding a bouquet with two hands. real flowers might have been intimidating for the girl, so instead, he had bought chocolate shaped in form of flowers.
“aw,” mina laughs as she notices jun’s ears turning red, though her own cheeks are dusted pink from the sweetness of his gesture. “i should have brought something for you though!” she insists, feeling genuinely bad for a moment for her lack of foresight. “we’ll just have to share your gift then,” she concludes with a smile. (though she’s sure she’ll accidentally eat more than what would be considered a fair share- having discovered a new favorite treat through jun.)
her brows raise as they fall into step with each other, surprised to hear that it had been a long time since jun was here last. mina loved walking by the river on days she could. “it’s so pretty.” she chimes in, followed by a shrug at his question, and a mildly embarrassed laugh. “i’m okay at it,” her cheeks, finally having returned to a normal shade, begin turning pink again. “i haven’t gone biking in a really long time though, so i don’t really know. do you like biking?”
