Why is he so cute?! I can definitely see myself being a fan of Tian’s after this!! Not only can he sing but he also knows three different languages and still wants to learn another? I’m in love!

I think he should have gone with a different song. I’m not entirely convinced that he’s even able to sing just based off of what I’ve seen so maybe he should focus on something else in the future. Was he trying to go for something ‘cute’ because I didn’t find it cute in the slightest bit really…

Honestly, if he had just stood there and not said a single word, I still would have fallen for him.. He looks like he could be the perfect boyfriend material really. I think he could be an idol, actor, composer or even a model and still look good while doing anything that he does.

tian is a multitalented artist in the making. not a lot of trainees can be THAT talented so i’m interested in his journey. will he become an idol or will he take a different path?

idk about you, but i find this song a bit of a cringe?? why did legacy sign him up if this is what he ends up doing? there are so many trainees in the company so i don’t get what makes him so special. ㅋㅋ

CHARACTER UPDATE ( Q3 2021 )

what are your muse’s current goals and motivations?

honestly, tian doesn’t even know what he wants to do at the moment since the changes happened and he can no longer go down the path of being in a band. if he had to set a goal for himself, it would most likely be to figure out what it is that he wants to do now. tian doesn’t know if he wants to go for being an idol, actor or even a model and has decided that he would just do his best in whatever the company threw at him until he figures everything out. this setback has put him in a big dilemma, however, he plans to make some sort of attempt at trying some new things to see where he’ll end up at later on. until he figures all of this out and sorts his own thoughts out, tian has begun taking on learning new things that actually interest him, such as learning to play the drums.

do you think your muse has accomplished any of their goals mentioned above? if so, how did they do it? if not, what do you think could help them accomplish that goal?

no, he hasn’t accomplished his ‘goal’ yet. he figures that over time he’ll end up finding a new passion, at least he hopes that he will. until then he plans to just go with the flow for now until he has that moment where he knows exactly it is that he was to do with his future. even though he knows that there’s no use dwelling on the changes that were made, he still has those moments when he’s practicing drums that he wishes he didn’t have to start from the beginning again and wishes that he still had that chance of debuting in a band. the only thing that can really be done at this point is to just take each day one step at a time until things become more clear for him. 

describe one significant memory that has happened to your muse during this trimester (positive or negative).

a significant memory for tian would probably have to be the fact that he actually has improved with his dancing. even though he doesn’t know what the future holds for him, he was actually impressed with the way he had managed to still take things as seriously as he had when he was put into the secret project that legacy had started up. yeah, things were difficult for him in the beginning and he was -- and still is, doubting himself but he was able to get through everything so far that he had spent hours on practicing. even though he still isn’t sure that the ‘idol’ life is for him, tian was still able to put in everything that he had in order to not let the other male trainees down, telling himself that he would be able to get through all of this, that he wouldn’t let the others down due to his lack of dancing.

what is one thing you (as the mun) have learned about your muse throughout this trimester?

i think i’ve learned a little more about tian this trimester. he’s gained a few skills that he was once lacking in before, he’s learning to open up a bit more to those around him ( or rather those that he’s been lucky enough to have come into his life ), and he has managed to become slightly less on the ‘overly blunt’ side ( he’s still pretty blunt with his words though but that’s a work in progress ). even though he still isn’t sure about what his future will be like, i’ve learned that he’s actually really hard-working when it comes to doing certain things besides just studying, even if it’s something he isn’t quite fond of. i have also learned that he’s rather determined to get something done once he’s made up his mind and will not let something stop him from achieving whatever it is (see: him learning the drums). even though he has a long ways to go still, i’m really excited to see how he’ll develop and also see which path he’ll end up deciding on in the future.

his head bended forward with lips curled to keep himself from laughing. with all this talk about them performing and worrying about messing up they needed this light. hearted laughter. “we should ask them one day if they have some ritual before going on stage.” daeho was a big believer in good luck, so he was curious to know if his seniors did too. “so many questions I would love to ask them to be honest.” there was a lot of questions and so much more to learn from his seniors. sitting with his arms crossed he watched them keeping that professionalism look. “they look like theyre having fun, dont you think?”

speaking with daeho seemed to help relieve some of that doubt within himself that he had been worrying over, even for the past couple months now. maybe it was due to the fact that he had never really had someone before like this to voice his concerns, usually just keeping them all bottled up inside, though in the end he realized that it was actually a nice feeling. after all of this was done he might try to open up a bit more to those around him, though for now he would just focus on the task at hand: getting through the family concert in one piece.

he smiles gently at daeho’s encouraging words, nodding slowly in agreement. “you’re right, we will kill it. we’ve been at this long enough to get through our performance successfully.” he gently nudges the other male in a playful manner, giving a small chuckle. “besides, i think the fans will love seeing you up there.” tian knows that most fans usually do tend to fall for idols that not only have the whole ‘good looks’ thing going on for them but also the talent, and from what tian has seen from his fellow trainee so far, he would say that the other male had both.

tian nods in agreement, eyes fixing back on their seniors up on stage. “we definitely should. i think we could learn a lot from them over time, some things that could even help us in the end.” he watches each movement, listens to each member performing their own lines flawlessly, and hums softly. “they really do. you can tell that they’ve been doing this for a while now, even their stage presence is amazing.” he pauses for a short moment before continuing. “i think i know now what the coaches meant when they said we needed to work on our performance skills. if you compare us to them... we’re still lacking a bit, though i’m sure with a little more practice we can surely pull this all off with the right mindset.” he states, lips pursed in thought as he tilts his head slightly to the side.

☾ Event  —  LGC TRAINEE EVALUATION 002 ☾ What  —  Reflection

Now that the yearly family concert was done and over with, and everyone was moving on from the events that took place, tian didn’t know exactly how he felt about the whole thing. he’d like to believe that him and the other trainees had done pretty well during their ‘My House’ performance, or rather he felt that the others had done amazing while he just did the best that he could do. tian knows that now they have to go back to their usual schedules, training and preparing for whatever awaited them, though for him he still wasn’t sure of what he wanted and that alone was frustrating him.

he sits there with one of the coaches, thinking for a moment before he finally speaks. “the concert was pretty fun.. i’ll admit that i was a bit nervous because i was afraid of bringing the other’s down during out performance, though i think that once we got through the rehearsals and even got up on stage to actually perform for the fans...it was fun.” he states casually as he gives a small nod in agreement to his own words.

“i’m still not sure if the whole ‘idol’ thing is for me, though despite my own worries i still plan on taking this all as seriously as i have been. until i figure out what it is that i want to do for my career, whether i end up going down this path as an idol or even decide to take another path, i will give it my all in order to not bring the other trainees down.” he pauses as he thinks of the other male’s within the trainee group, gaze shifting elsewhere. “i realized during the family concert that they’re in this because that’s what they’ve been working so hard for up until now, and just because i’m having to start over from scratch, i would hate to be the reason that they get brought down because i know how much it would suck for them when they’ve been putting everything they have into getting where they are right now.”

tian’s gaze returns to the coach, smiling gently to show that he’s being honest, that he really doesn’t want to be the reason for anyone’s downfall within the company. “i think while watching the performances during the concert, i gained a lot of respect for our seniors and also the other trainees that participated in the stages. i think that if i had to choose a favorite moment, i would have to say that i really enjoyed being able to watch Haru sunbaenim’s rehearsals and the live performance, especially since we had been given the opportunity to perform one of their songs. it was nice to just be able to experience this and helped show me what i was lacking in. of course, i could never pull off performances like they can, though it did help get me motivated to work harder in the future in whatever career i decide to take on.”

daeho was a master when it came to freaking himself out, you could say he did it on a daily throughout this entire project. it was always thanks to the others that he was able to move forward with a level head. letting out a soft chuckle he lightly nudge tian with his elbow. “sorry, I didn’t mean to freak you out.” and he meant it, it was just a thought and because they’ve grown close through practice it just came out naturally. these type of thoughts he was sure the others were thinking it too. 

“ooo, wow!” his mouth dropped from how professional they look. the way haru carried themselves on stage, helping each other with their flaw. “they look so good, even if this is just a reharsal”. after a long hiatus, it was nice to see that they still had it in them “you think they ever trip on stage?” something light for them to laugh about. “or maybe even forget their position sometimes?” 

tian nods in agreement as he lets out a long and heavy sigh. “i think so as well. though, this just shows that we all have a long way to go before we can get to where our sunbaes are at now.” he states this as he averts his attention back to the stage, back onto haru. having to sit here and start over with a whole new ‘dream’ was definitely going to be a long and difficult road for tian, though there was nothing he could do about it now beside just go with it and hope for the best. hope that he didn’t fail or bring anyone around him down in the process.

when daeho asks the question, tian sits there for a moment as he ponders on the question. honestly, he had more confidence in the other trainees being able to pull this whole thing off, though for him he wasn’t too sure about any of it. he still lacked in many ways, though they had spent the past few weeks practicing over and over again, spending late nights in the practice room just for this day. “i’m sure we’ll do fine.” he returns his gaze to the male beside him as he speaks. “we have the choreography and lyrics down by now. i’m not saying we’ll be able to perform their song better than them, no one could, though i’m sure we can at least get through our performance in one piece now that we’ve had all this time to practice.”

he can’t help but chuckle softly at what the other male says, shaking his head slowly as he offers a reassuring smile. “it’s fine, i’m not really freaking out about it. i’m just worried about letting the rest of you down and messing up somehow that could potentially affect the rest of you.” he was being honest when he says this to daeho. yeah, he was also worried about making a fool of himself during the live performance, but his worries were mainly for the others within the group who had worked so hard all of these years just to get where they were now. if he somehow messed up and caused any sort of accidents, he would feel sorry towards them for letting them down.

his thoughts are soon pushed to the back of his mind at what daeho says, eyebrow raising as he thinks of if it really had happened at some point for their sunbaes. “it’s possible? i mean, if they haven’t then they really are professionals. though, i’m sure they’ve maybe had a few accidents here and there?” the thought alone makes him want to actually laugh at the idea in some way, though he knows they’re being watched by the staff and he refrains from doing so, swallowing down the laugh that threatens to escape from him. “maybe someday we’ll be able to ask them personally if they’ve had any of those sort of incidents happen.”

eyes widen in shock as aeri saw the screen flash a 92 in bright colors. “a ninety-two?” she questioned, almost certain that she could score a lot higher than that. her attention shifted to tian as she tried to hide her worries with a smile. “well it’s a high score, but can you beat that?” aeri asked before handing the microphone to him. 

tian nods slowly in agreement to her words, humming softly. “that’s true.. i would probably even have nightmares each night and wouldn’t be able to focus on my training.” his tone is slightly teasing as he speaks, the corners of his mouth curving up just slightly into a smile to show that he isn’t being serious with his own words. this was one of the reasons why he liked the friendship that he had with aeri, the two were able to just have moments such as these where they could be a bit more carefree and not worry about the other truly getting upset, knowing that they were only joking and weren’t being serious about nearly half of the stuff they said to one another. “you should do just that. make sure it’s a song i know so i can beat you later.” he jokes as he gives a thumbs up.

a small laugh escapes from him as he looks at her. even though they are friends, he wasn’t exactly going to go easy on her and he honestly didn’t expect for her to go easy on him. what would be the fun in them actually doing so? the purpose of these little gatherings with one another was to just have fun and relieve the stress they’ve managed to build up while being confined to the practice rooms in legacy. a way for them to do as they please with their vocals without being told they’re singing in the wrong key or aren’t doing as well as they could be.

as he sits there, nodding along to the beat of the instrumental, watching as aeri sings and dances. he can’t help but smile as he even begins to dance slightly in his seat, once again admitting to himself that she truly does have some of the best vocals among others that he’s heard sing before. even as the song comes to an end, tian’s smile remains and his gaze shifts from aeri to the screen, pursing his lips and nodding slowly at the results. “i’m pretty sure that i have you beat this time. i’ll easily win and get a perfect score.” he says this as he takes the microphone and stands, holding out the controller towards her. “you should start preparing yourself now for the punishment i have in mind because that screen will end up showing a hundred when i get done.” he says this while pointing at the screen in the room that still shows aeri’s score.

❛ Dancing is hard, even for dancers. ❜ Tee chuckled slightly. ❛ There are so many times when I want to give up and where I wonder why I chose dancing in the first place. So don’t let it get to you. You’re spotting mistakes and that’s what’s important, ❜ he said as he removed his hand from Tian’s shoulder. He smiled softly, noticing the worry in the other’s tone. ❛ You’re doing well, Tian-ssi. It’s not easy leading, especially when you’re the first leader. That’s got to account for something, right? Just keep doing what you’re doing. ❜

Tian still didn’t even know what he wanted to do now that the company had announced they could no longer have a career with the band path, feeling as if he were having to start from square one once again. Should he just try out acting or modeling? It wasn’t like he was someone who could actually cut it when it came to what idols had to deal with, the dancing and singing all at the same time just seeming nearly impossible for someone like him. He figures that he’ll just take on this new challenge he’s been given for the next few weeks and see what happens.

Hearing Tee’s words of encouragement does lift some of that burden that he’s currently feeling, thinking of how the other male actually seems as if he would make a good leader in the future if he were given the chance to do so. Maybe if the coaches asked them to vote somehow on who they all felt did the best during this task, tian would vote for Tee in a heartbeat. Would anyone even consider tian as leadership material? probably not, especially since all he had done so far was point out the few parts so far that they weren’t entirely in sync with, though he was only even able to do this because he could mentally remember most of the dance. it was just physically doing the choreography that was getting in the way of things. if this were his studies, tian would be able to easily ace it with no issues at all, confident in his own memory enough to do so, but this wasn’t him learning something by reading it...this was his most weakest skill.

A smile forms on his lips as he looks at tee, giving a slight nod in response. “You know, i think you’re more fit for being a leader than me. you know how to stay calm and even help ease other’s worries.” he gives a small chuckle before continuing. “i don’t think i’ve ever felt this way before though, so your words have actually helped me, tee. thank you for that. i’m not saying that i’ve become confident enough to get through all of this in one piece, though i’ll remember everything you’ve said and do my best to do what a leader should do during this week.” it was strange in a way, that tian was feeling more relaxed now thanks to the other male. was this what it was like to have friends? being there to give advice and help one another out. he wouldn’t know really, though it was still a nice feeling to have.

tian was still confused as to why he was even here. yeah, he had slightly improved in dancing after spending endless hours for a whole month going over the songs that they had been given, though compared to the others he knew that he was lacking. he wasn’t ashamed to admit this fact. now, after somehow managing to get the chance to continue on in this secret project that the company was doing, he was here getting ready to watch the rehearsals for their sunbae’s stages.

apparently the opportunity to even do this much wasn’t something that was normal during such events, though he figured it was the company’s way of saying that they should take notes on what they were all lacking in by watching closely.

of course his performance during the evaluation hadn’t been the best, something he still needed to work on if he planned on sticking around, and that’s why he decided to just try and figure out how to improve himself for now. even as one of the staff mentions that they’re about to begin the rehearsal, tian keeps his eyes glued to the stage for a few moments while watching Haru make their way up. tian leans over enough towards daeho is beside him, whispering for only the other to hear him. “they look very confident up there.”

he of course doesn’t mean anything negative about what he says, in fact it’s a rather positive statement coming from him, and really he can’t help but admire their sunbae’s for this. could it be because they’ve stood on more stages than they could probably even count? tian wasn’t sure, though he still thought it was amazing how they looked so serious up on stage despite this only being a rehearsal. “by the way, are we the only two who were told to work on our performance skills?” he’s actually curious about this, wondering how any of the others could possibly be lacking in anything when most of them actually had dreamed of being an idol, compared to those such as tian that is.

for tian, he’s in the trainee evaluation and will need two threads for this! now, he’s still not sure about what he really wants to do (neither am i) so for now we’ll continue to think about it and decide before the 18th on whether he’ll continue down this path or get into acting or modeling. anyways ! if anyone in the eval group would like to do a thread please like this post and we can get something going for them ! :D

“you can tell the coaches that,” jiahn feels his throat start to get tight. his response to stress has always been tears. they’re hard to choke down, hard to get any other word out without a tremble or break in his voice. but somehow he manages this time. “and all of your other excuses.”

tian lets out a small scoff before inhaling deeply, slowly exhaling as he runs his finger through his hair and glances around the room once again. he takes notice of all the eyes that are on them, knowing that they’ve actually ended up drawing all the attention to them and their little argument going on right now. some were probably even shocked to see this side of him, a different side of him than his usual level-headed self that others were used to seeing by now, though he couldn’t stop what he had already said or even stop how he was now acting.

“i did know this, but i was told at the time that i could focus on being a part of a band.” he says this as he returns his attention to jiahn. “if i had known that things would end up falling through one day, that i would have to end up deciding on another path, then either i wouldn’t have auditioned or i would have actually focused more on my dancing.” he squints slightly at the words he hears coming from the other. “i only even took part in this project to try and see if it was for me, to see if there was a chance that i could figure out what i could do as an alternate solution. it’s not like i’m screwing up on purpose here.”

fighting like this wasn’t going to get them anywhere, even tian knew this. it was just a waste of time to stand here arguing when they could be preparing for the evaluation, though he didn’t really think that would happen anytime soon, not when the two of them had already gotten to this point thanks to the stressful situation they were currently in. “yeah, we did have four weeks to get this all down and during those four weeks, in order to try and not bring everyone else down, i’ve spent most of my time running through both choreographies over and over again until i became too exhausted to even think straight.” he pauses, trying to calm himself down as his eyes close and he lets out a small sigh. “i bet if you were being tested in your weakest skill here you would finally understand where i’m even coming from here, you would see that i’ve actually improved some compared to the first week.”

he was trying his best to calm this whole situation down, to end it all so that they either didn’t get in trouble or even so that they could just get back to practice. the tension surrounding the two of them was starting to feel suffocating even to tian and he honestly didn’t know how much more of it he could take before he actually did end up just saying ‘screw it all’ and walking out. his words had been true though, he had in fact improved with his dancing over the past few weeks. no, he wasn’t someone who could be considered as some ‘dance machine’ now, but if you compared how he was before to know, if only jiahn could see this, then it would be easy to see that he wasn’t screwing everything completely up. it was only a few minor dance moves that he could easily work on and have down before the day of the evaluation.

his eyes finally open and he meets jiahn’s gaze. “i won’t tell them a single thing. i’ll make sure to get this all down before the day comes and show that i’ve been working hard just like everyone else here.” he was done. he couldn’t continue like this and couldn’t risk this whole situation escalading more than it already had. tian hated arguments, hated confrontation in situations such as this one, which was why he did his best to avoid them at all cost. it was one of the few reasons why he had stuck to his studies over the years rather than taking his mother’s advice to go out and make friends. “let’s just get back to practice and get this over with. we’re wasting time here, not only both of ours but everyone else’s as well.” he says the last bit while motioning towards the others across the room from them.

junkyu’s eyebrows furrow, watching the other leader intently as he speaks. honestly, he understood where he was coming from. it was definitely something that crossed his mind, but he pretty much forced it out of his mind because he knew that he wouldn’t be any help to the others if he was worrying about it so much. “hey, you can’t think like that. thinking like that will only bring your confidence down and make you feel like you really can’t do it. you have us to bounce off, as well. we’re not perfect, we’re not 100% the best yet, it’s why we’re here, but think of it like this - they wouldn’t have chosen you if they didn’t see something in you. they chose ten of us out of how many trainees? and you were one of those chosen ten, so try not to worry so much. you’ll do great.” junkyu smiles at the other, giving him a gentle shove to ease the atmosphere. “i am, i have a lot of anxieties over it, but i know worrying and working myself up over it won’t do be any good. the best thing i can do is just try my best, so that’s what i’ll do.”

tian only nods slowly to what junkyu says, his gaze drifting elsewhere as he thinks about what the other male has said. something like this was all just new to him, something he wasn’t used to doing, and being just randomly thrown into it while being told to not only take on a leadership role but also needing to dance...it was sort of overwhelming for him to even think of doing and he wondered if it would actually be possible for him to manage. “you’re right, though i can’t wrap my head around all of this yet... i was happy when thinking that i would be able to join a band and play the drums but now....” he trails off for a moment, shaking his head slowly as he sighs. “i guess i can only hope to get through this all in one piece.”

he thinks for a bit. why had he been chosen out of all the possible trainees within the company? it was still a mystery, and probably would continue to be such until the company finally revealed what the purpose of this whole evaluation was for. until then he would just have to clear his mind, try his hardest and hope for the best in the end. “you know....you really do sound like a leader right now.” he states this as he offers a smile to junkyu, being very honest with what he says to the other male. “i think, if we were to vote on who did the best, i would actually say you’re doing amazing.” tian lets out a small chuckle before continuing. “you’re doing better than i am right now.” he says this partially out of truth, though he’s also trying to lighten the whole situation as well, to clear his mind of the negative thoughts going on in his head.

“alright, i’ll keep all of this in mind for the week and do my best to try and be a decent leader for everyone.” he just had to, not because he thought he could really do a great job at leading a group of people, though he had to do his best in order to make sure that he helped as much as he possibly could and help the other trainees prepare for the day they would have to perform in front of the coaches and show how hard they worked through these four weeks that they had been given. “maybe after all of this is over with we’ll be able to relax and spend a day just resting.” of course he’s only joking, though it would be nice if they could have a bit of free time to just enjoy themselves after working hard for a month.

“aww, your sister is adorable!” he said brightly. woobin wished he had little siblings like that to gush over. the closest he had was somin, but they were close enough in age that it never felt like a huge separation like tian had.

he nods, “yeah i’d love to try it. don’t go too hard on me though” he chuckles. woobin was a pretty capable dancer since it was one of his focuses from the beginning of training. while on stage he loves to challenge himself with intense and powerful moves, he never minded the occasional tiktok or cute little dance that went viral. he likes trying all genres of dance, no matter how simple or silly they were. in all honesty, the boy just likes to move. “so the hands were like this, correct?“ he micmics how he saw tian’s hands begin.

tian can’t help but smile at how woobin compliments his sister. “thank you, she’s an amazing sister." he says this as he thinks of her and how much he wishes he could have her around, hating that they’re not able to physically see one another.

“ don’t worry. if someone like me is able to learn this dance, i’m sure you’ll pick up on it pretty quickly.” he may not be the best dancer, in fact he wasn’t a dancer at all, though he had gone out of his way to learn this specific dance just for his sister and thankfully had managed to get it down fairly easy since it wasn’t that hard of a dance to do. to know that someone else wanted to learn the dance made him a little happy with the idea of having someone else out there who could possibly also do the dance besides just him.
