I mean, I think Elena has gotten a MUCH better handle on her PTS over the past year from kinda ~away from the Moretti business. Just because she wasn’t constantly on high-alert and such. So Lia being armed/being around her or whatever wouldn’t be AS big a deal. But there probably will be a time or two where Elena kinda ~shuts down and has to just walk away from Lia without much in the way of warning so she doesn’t have a panic attack in front of her.

So I could totally see where Lia would be all: ???? and wondering if she said/did something to make Elena like HATE HER or whatever. Which is totally untrue, obvi, it’s just… she can’t be around her right then. <3

Tho, interestingly enough, I wonder if having Lia around again might be good for Elena, too. I think if she kinda ever got over the whole: “I CANNOT SHOW WEAKNESS. WEAKNESS IS HORRIBLE” thing, she might quietly come to Lia like: ‘…yo…. you should help me learn how to defend myself better so this shit doesn’t happen again.’

Yeah, Lia would TOTALLY be like ???? especially since she's like ???? about feelings like I think if she got shot, she'd legit be like AHAHAHA check out my battle scars, yo and kinda laugh about it and idk she has this weird wall up and even a brush with death wouldn't phase her b/c she's healthy like that, like basically she has a hard time putting herself in other people's shoes and probably would never think that Elena might have a different reaction than she would, so like her different behavior would really confuse Lia. 

BUT OH MAN. Lia would be SO ON THAT. Like she likes passing on her mad skillz to other badass ladies and would be like LET ME SHOW YOU A THING. And actually get really excited. ;D

Okay so. Toooootes have to talk about these two, heehee. So they dated a while ago? (I creeped on your comments and saw that you said maybe sometime in their early/midtwenties which is totes fine with me.)

Okay so I don’t know how deeply you want them to each have been committed to the relationship. Most people thought they would eventually marry? Well if that’s the case and that’s the belief that they were both operating under, then maybe they broke up because they both knew they weren’t ready for that kind of commitment and when Sonny took over as underboss then they could maybe try again and marry?

But I feel like Sonny’s dating and proposing to Lucy was an act of rebellion and he really didn’t put a whole lot of thought into it and kind of forgot about Lia during that moment but maybe he really does miss her and wish something had come of their relationship?

These two do still work together don’t they? I totes think that their past relationship wouldn’t affect their business relationship at all and I can totes see Sonny respecting Lia professionally and being pretty glad that she’s on their side and not against them, ahaha.

So, yeah. Thoughts?

ANYWAY, okay so yeah, I feel like that was part of it, tbh. Like I don't think either of them are/where long-term relationship people at all, and I think that was part of the reason people started wondering if they were going to be in it for the long haul, b/c they were probably with each other longer than they had been with anyone else (which probably wasn't long for most ppl, but it was a huge accomplishment for them okay). And honestly, that would push Lia away, even if it was other ppl saying it, b/c HELL NO MARRIAGE AND KIDS AND A HUSBAND = NOT HER LIFE. Especially with someone like Sonny who is meant to go on and be the head of THE FAMILY like she is not first lady material here. 

And like, she'd never want to be that girl. She likes her life just like it is and even though I think she has some ~unresolved feelings about Sonny, I don't think she's ever been jealous of Lucy -- like she just doesn't want that life and if Sonny was just some soldier like she is, it might be different, but yeah. 

And yeah, I totally agree that they are super professional (well insomuch as they don't let their past personal feelings get in the way, haha) when they work together. She mostly works with Franco, but I feel like (especially now) they kinda switch things up depending on what they need, so I can see them working together some now, too.

Oh man… At 13, Elena would have been ALL OVER LIA DATING HER BROTHER. She’d LOVE IT. Like, basically after Tony, I could see Lia being Elena’s #1 dream person to be.

(Elena may have her own fan club, but 13 year old Elena was 10000% in the Lia de Luca fan club. PRESIDENTE NUMERO UNO, ELENA MORETTI.)

And I’m sure pre-accident, Elena would love spending time with her, trying to just hang around Lia and pick up stuff through osmosis or whatever. But then the whole ~accident happened, and I could see her kinda pulling away from Lia.

She still wants to be like her in a way, but…. can’t anymore, if that makes sense? Hell, Elena can’t be in a room with a gun out in the open, let alone handle one herself. How the heck could she ever be a soldier? (And lets not talk about how Elena USED to not even be able to be in a room where she knew guns were… WHICH WAS PRETTY MUCH EVERYWHERE SHE WENT, THANKS MOB FAMILY. D: )

idk… Basically, I bet young!Elena was madly in love with who Lia was/is and wanted to be just like her, but now she just kinda is like: “….hi Lia.”

Okay, so I'm not exactly sure how much Lia would know about the ~side effects of Elena's accident?? Like, obviously she def knows what happened, but I don't think she and Sonny were together when it did, so while she def came and visited Elena, idk how much she was involved in the ~recovery and like basically when she's around Elena now, she might say something that's a ~trigger or like, she's probably armed like 24/7, especially now, tbh and it's probably been awhile since she's seen Elena and she might wonder if she did something ? Or just think that college has really changed Elena or something 

B/C OMG Lia would have LOVED Elena before, too, tbh. Like she doesn't really do kids, but Elena would have been an exception like she was so eager and Lia would be so happy to tell her stories and teach her things and just be like "your sister is alright" to sonny which is basically the highest praise you'll ever get from lia, haha.

I will have to talk to Tina, but I feel like they were in their early/mid twenties (like 23/26) so Elena would have been about 13 when they met??? Lia is easily the most dangerous female working for the Moretti Family.

She grew up with this life and neither knows nor wants any different.

Lia was able to legally adopt Connie and keep her from having to go back to her foster home with help from Moretti. 

She’s not much of a guardian - she’s lets Connie do whatever the hell she wants - but the two of them do get along. 

She often works with Andrew Greene. 

She and Andrea are about as different as can be — Andrea is calm, collected, and meticulous, while Lia is loud and impulsive. But they have learned to work well together and have even become friends.
