Tired of music

for the rest of the day. Or, at least, hour.

I released an album today.

I put more into this thing than I've ever put into anything else in my entire life.

It's on iTunes and Spotify and all that jazz.

This song took me a very, very long time to make sound just the way I wanted. But one day, just a few weeks ago, I did.

Guess what I'm doing right now.

I'm uploading the final tracks for my album to the digital distributor now. I feel very, very calm. Except for my heart which is pounding at about 90 million beats per minute. It feels like that alarm clock in the Donald Duck cartoons that's ringing so hard it jumps right off the shelf.

This whole marketing yourself thing gets pretty insane when you're in class on your laptop researching digital distributors and finishing your social media sites, instead of listening to the professor.

Paul Simon rarely gets enough credit as a guitar player. He obviously arranged this Stevie Wonder cover himself, and despite being some ungodly number of years old, still gives us a gorgeous, unique rendition of "If It's Magic." It tugs at my heartstrings and reminds me of my dad singing me to sleep at night when I was a kid.
