âCome on, itâs not that bad,â Arthur replied with a chuckle, definitely the more amiable one when it came to the two of them, despite the fact that neither of them were actually that welcome in this town. Theyâd probably have targets on their back as soon as the plan was in motion. âThe cowboy in you is coming out,â he teasingly said to his friend, showing him a small smile before taking a drag from his cigarette. Despite the fact that they were on two opposing sides back in Utah, they still managed to be friends and in a time much like right now where it was definitely all of them versus all of those in Charming, Arthur was especially thankful for their friendship now.  âWhen have I ever said no to one of your fucked up ideas, huh? This is why I keep you around, Liam. You just continue reminding me what itâs like to feel young,â he chuckled before dropping the last of his stick and stubbing it with his shoe. âNow where to?â
âSo says you,â he shot back, though there was a crooked grin on Liamâs face as he spoke. Being the prickly one had a bit of an upside. âWhat can I say? Itâs a part of my charm.â Liam watched as his friend put out his cigarette. A friendship like theirs could get complicated, but with what was going to happen, things seemed to be much more simple. ââleast I serve a purpose,â he commented dryly. âWell, if you want to play at being a cowboy, I could grab the moonshine. If you want something a little softer, say whiskey..weâll need to go to a bar or the liquor store. Iâm sure thereâs one somewhere around here. As the elder, Iâll let you choose.âÂ
