“How stupid of them,” Vi sighed, slightly amused at the revelation, “Most of them are only a year older than you. What experience could they have over you?” She didn’t particularly cared how the group chose to conduct themselves, but in her eyes, they would be no nowhere without her. Information was power, and the girl was their key to acquiring it.
“I mean I also heard rumors of demonic rituals and blood sacrifice surrounding the incident. All of which aren’t exactly covered in the police academy,” she said lazily, turning her gaze to the growing thunderstorm happening outside. “Besides, it took the police two weeks to figure out who burned down one of my father’s warehouses. I rather bet on your ragtag group than them as well,” she added.
Libby smiled softly at her. It was nice to talk to someone who didn’t see her as a fragile object. “They have good intentions but that doesn’t stop it from being annoying.” She shook her head. She knew they were just being cautious but she didn’t need any more parents than she already had.
She giggled at the comment. She had a good guess that the police didn’t know much about the case or anything like it at all. It was all brand new to them and they didn’t investigate more. Libby hummed in response. “I guess. The police aren’t totally helpful.” She shrugged and looked at the dark clouds.
