I love greasing my leather shoes.

It evokes a sensation of accomplishing one’s duty of caring for somebody’s former skin. Peacefully and slowly I am cleaning, greasing, polishing, repairing all the signs of tiredness. As opposed to other materials, whose care eludes me, this one seems so natural - the leather visibly revives. Just like caring for human skin. But it’s just a cadaver!
