we deserved more britin scenes in their honeymoon phase in s3

#qaf #britin #i love the stockwell arc and the murder mystery of it all but also this was a big time for their relationship ASIDE from the political arc #and we missed out on that bc of the external plot and the short season #whereas s1 and s2 were more about brian and justin's relationship development AS a plot #my greedy grabby hands want more #also I love how randy plays justin in love #but my one beef is that the show jumped quickly through the getting back together phase and in some ways justin seemed less visibly affecte #so I wish we got more cutesy scenes where we saw justin being extra happy to be back with brian #and more of justin's emotional journey overall

#I'm rewatching season 1 and I do miss the early seasons friendship between brian and lindsay #she and melanie started being written really inconsistently imo #but they felt a lot more real to me towards the start #you could feel more of their history and the history with brian

#britin #justin taylor #brian's feelings arc for justin gets a lot of attention and rightly so... but justin's is also so interesting #he calls it love immediately and he's totally earnest about it #but it goes from being teenage puppy love obsession to something deeper and more mature #as he gets to know brian the person and not just brian the idea #justin saying this here is SO tonally different from him gut wrenchingly admitting 'i love him michael' when he thinks brian's leaving #his love evolves and we watch it get deeper and more 'real'#but he meant it the whole time #their first night was love to him #he just didn't know yet how much further love could go #qaf meta
