The question cannot be answered. The concept of love exists, therefore it is useful even if it is a human construct. It exists because it serves a need. A question that can be answered might be: Why is love needed?

I am deeply in love with Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. Go read it if you haven’t already. It’s gorgeous and terrifying and heartbreaking. This piece is based on an image of Luke Goss as the Creature in the 2004 Hallmark miniseries. I had a ball with the colors, but I’m not completely satisfied with this. I’ll definitely give it another go.
