I went to Texas for Harmony Con, the My Little Pony convention, but also got to visit the American Girl store. I brought Kirsten, a matching outfit and a suitcase with enough space for a whole other doll, box included. I was actually planning to buying Claudie, many of my friends preferred Claudie. However seeing Kaya in person and knowing how Kirsten has a friend from the Dakota tribe, it just felt right to purchase her. I bought her doll and the beaver as well (the short story the beaver was from was underwhelming). I was suprised by my choice but during the trip I had a dress that matched Kaya's dress texture, her braids and story similarities with Kirsten (traumas, animal encounters included) seemed all too perfect ♡

I still think Claudie has the cutest face mold but I am very happy with my Kaya and Kirsten duo. We'll see what happens with my future Chicago trip ( • ᴗ - ) ✧

Trip to Tahoe for my mother's birthday. When I discovered Coconut I thought he looked so silly and the little outfits he can wear had me sold. Coconut's produced in the early 2000's also had a magnetic mouth, this particular outfit came witha yellow rose boquet he can hold.

Hendy woods with my partner, plenty of mushrooms (not pictured) but no pies were made. I bought this Coleman Licca during my first trip to Japan simply because I wanted the "Japanese Barbie" and to get items from Toys R Us. I'm not sure if I'll be keeping her or not, her photos turned out so cute!

Holy grail acquired at a lovely antique store. I had been searching for a jointed teddy bear since I saw photos of them in a library book. While not necessarily an antique, he's the perfect size and much livelier than other antique bears I've seen.
