Triple Baka Knights!!!
I wondered which of the six would fit Neru, Miku and Teto best. Ironically, it was the one with the green, yellow, red hair from my OC squad.
Even more ironic, according to the characterization from the music video, no one matched their hair color matching character.
I don't think Fabian would direct the song, so to say, and though at the beginning I gave Maya the role of Miku, I decided to make Selene Miku in the end.
The way I understand the message of the song, it fits best into Selena's arc (even if Maya was the one who helped her through it).
Fabian got Neru because they are both constantly on their phones/ 3DS and Maya and Selene are stupid, supportive besties anyway, so she could take on Teto's role just as well.
It’s good if I give Selene more driving force roles in my art anyway.
Triple Baka RdrB!!!

Hey, firstly congratulations on winning the Magical OC tournament! Minari really deserved this win.
I actually wanted to thank you for making this such a fun finale. Seeing Minari do so well in the semifinals really gave me motivation to try to get to the finale as well, since I really wanted to face off against her (even though it was clear you would win this).
So it was really nice to see you also posting more propaganda for Minari. Maybe this sounds weird but it let everything feel less like a sit out and wait kinda deal, but like a really engaging tournament. The way you wrote your propaganda also really inspired me to go more in depth about my own characters, instead of keeping everything vague in order not to spoil everything.
Two last things I really wanted to tell you: The sticker sheet is absolutely adorable, and I loved to see some excerpts of your visual novel. I really want to try it out now.
WAAAA OMG THIS IS SOOOO SWEET!!! THank you so much!! I loved all your propaganda too for the knights of the red ribbon characters! I read all of it and waited expectantly each day for you to post more <3 I can tell you put a lot of heart into your characters and your story so it was a really fun competition. I'm glad the two of us both made it to the finals with original story magical girls.

In this world, anyone can choose to be a Magical Girl/Boy/Kid, though here they're called Knights. In ancient times, they were helping everyone adjust to, and figure out the world, but nowadays they kinda just do odd jobs or battle each other for fun. They get their powers from so called Powerlights, that surround everyone, anywhere, at all time. Through emotionally connecting with the Lights, you can create almost anything you imagine, be it a little toy ball, or a fancy fencing sword, but sometimes it occurs that people are born with powers naturally. This colourful bunch are the Knights of the Red Ribbon (yes, even the dog is a Knight), and they're initially not really good at connecting… to people. By joining the team, they not only learn to connect to, and find a new family within each other, but also connect more to themselves and who they are/want to be. In terms of foes, they frequently encounter a group of fairys that call themselves “the Avengers of Utopia” who try to kidnap one of their teammates in order to “unify the world”, but at the end of the day, the real enemy were the issues we picked up along the way.

Last, but not least, the reason why I also put magical boy in the tags, our sixth main character: Fabian
If Kiseki has a hard time letting others see her light shine, Fabian is the one who shouldn't have any problems with that. He's one of the few people in this world that are very sensitive to the light of others, and powerlights. For most of them it's very easy to empathize with others, or get them to open up in return.
That's also why the Avengers of Utopia want to kidnap him at first, connection should be an easy thing for him
Turns out he doesn't like it.
Why? He doesn't want to talk about it, in fact he seems unusually closed off for a person with his gift, and friendship also doesn't seem to be a benefit for him when he firstly joins the Knights of the Red Ribbon...
Little does he know, it benefited him more than he thought....
He has people to infodump about videogames to now =)
Yeah, I don't want to end this on a mysterious note, honestly, I find Fabian to be a pretty funny and lovable character. He is the gamer tm of the group, but only really knows how/ is willing to play "non violent games". Half of what got him back into magical girls was Mona's love for them and half to spite Hanabi who called it "cringe at his age". Even though he tries to distance himself from everyone in the group, he miserably fails at it every adventure, he is good at artsy stuff, but because it's him doing it it "doesn't count", his (least) favourite colour is red, and he has a collection of apple themed plushies.
With the inclusion of Fabian, not only felt the team finally complete, but it also really started the process of me fleshing out their characters, story, and most importantly their dynamics more.
I really hope you get to see all of them on their adventure some day.
So for the last time, I would like to ask you to concider voting for him, and his friends.

This is super fun, because I realized our fiftht main character, and Minari have a really similar civil hairstyle: Mona
As it already says in the original propaganda, not everyone has to connect with powerlights to have powers, sometimes people have them since birth. These people are called Royalty/Princesses/Princes. To be born royal, people have to have a very strong wish for the unborn child, like "I hope you'll be healthy" or "I want you to inherant my business" or people could just straight up wish for that child to become royalty, almost anything goes.
Well, Mona is one of such many royalties (you can tell, because she has two different eyecolours), and one of such few royalties that are really similar to what we associate with that term in our world. She's the princess of a little town called "Märchenland" so the "fairy tale land", which has been in a petty conflict with the neighbouring town for generations now, because they're pretty much the antithesis to everything Märchenland cherishes.
So every year they hold a little turnament, where the current princess has to battle some annually elected fighter, and the winner gets to be the one that's better than the other town until the next tournament...
Well, Mona basically lost this thing since she was deemed old enough to participate (maybe that's why nobody in town seems to like her), and this time it took her especially hard,
she really can't muster up her courage again... everytime she tells herself "maybe it'll work next year", everytime she just.. freezes as soon as the battle starts... what even can she do anymore...
Maybe it's time to take her courage one last time and venture out of town to join some... Magical Girls?!
Well, of course I'm talking about the Knights of the Red Ribbon, but one thing I really love about Mona is that she's the group's Magical girl enthusiast. Not only are the sparkly transformations, and beautiful outfits everything she wants to be, but Magical girl series were always there to help her through the darkest times and give her hope again. They practically raised her to be a kind and compassionate person who never loses hope... or at least that's what she tries to be. So when this Knight group shows up in her town and rescues her multiple times Magical Girl style, you bet she would want to join them!
So I would like to ask you to concider voting for her, and her friends one last time.

Yay, Day 4, so it's time to intruduce our fourth main Character: Selene
She's probably the most normal one out of the group. She is pretty responsible, does well in school, has your standard group of friends, and no outstanding hobbies as far as we know.
Still, there is this one thing about her that nobody knows yet... well the one thing they all kinda know but she never would want to admit it.
In a town that celebrates the night, since the little lights will shine the brightest, she's afraid of the dark.
This is not exactly an advantage to have when you're busy the whole day going to school, helping everyone in town with various little problems, doing homework, and eventually you also have to go to sleep, right?
There is no time left to maybe hang out with your friends or do.. other, very much unimportant, and very ordinary things...
Neither is this an advantage when even the powerlights of this town, you know the most connection based force in this world, are basically nocternal...
She doesn't know where this fear comes from either, maybe she just never outgrew it, it's just... in the dark, you're completely on your own, you can't see anything, you don't know where anyone is, or what they might be thinking or doing, you can't know what might happen next...
Oh well, Selene will probably manage it anyway, she always was able to so far
While she might be the most normal one, I actually think her eventual story and character arc might even be the best rounded (until now at least). Setback after setback she tries, and tries again, maybe not because she has to, but perhaps just because... it's fun to do so.
So I would like to ask you to concider voting for her, and her friends one last time.

It's time for the silly (even though it's a bit late)
Today I give you some propaganda for our third main character: Maya
Maya was a very joyful girl who loved making new friends and playing with her cousins everyday
... until she had to move
Wasn't a big deal at first, yeah the goodbye was... hard, but she still had her parents with her and most importantly, her openess to others, so finding new friends wasn't really an issue.
The problem was that due to her new live involving travelling and changing her environment a lot, many of her new friends left her after a while with the only really constant friend she had turning out to be really controlling and icolating.
And after recieving the news that even that friend would leave her, her parents made the decision to move again so, Maya could have a more stable environment.
Well... long story short they aren't friends anymore, but not because of the move. This whole ordeal has left Maya pretty scared of trying out to seriously find friends, after all... what if they just leave again?
Until one day, two certain somebodys showed up at her doorstep, and she realized that maybe she could give friendship another shot.
Maya is a girl who cherishes memorys and connections a lot, so much so that they're too precious to even have, since with that, the danger of losing them is also on the table, but she decided that she would like to approach the world with a smile again, and starts her adventure as a knight with the goal of finding out if who she was in the past, could be the one she could become again in the future.
So I would like to ask you to concider voting for her, and her friends one last time.

Yesterday was her sister's turn, today I give you some Propaganda for our second Main Character: Hanabi
She's the better socially adjusted, younger sister of Kiseki who looks at everything through rose tinted glasses,
and I mean why wouldn't she? Reality looks a lot nicer when everything has a bit of colour.
She never really was interested in Knighthood, honestly she didn't really see the point in it, nor why Kiseki would want to be one so desperately, so her main goal for the beginning of the story is just to get her sister to come back home with her.
After all, home is where the heart is, where it's comfortable and you find all your loved ones, especially now that their older siblings are visiting again, their caretaker even arranged some time for familiy activities, she would be so disappointed if Kiseki missed all of that... she must be...
Even though Hanabi is the smallest, there is a lot to her character I would not like to spoil all at once, but I think her greatest attribute is her curiosity and respect to deeper understand others, even if she's still a bit afraid of accepting what she may learn.
So I would like to ask you to concider voting for her, and her friends one last time

I again want to thank everyone who got us this far, I was really wishing to face off against Minari in the finale. I feel like Witch's Talisman and Lichterbanden, as well as many other storys from the OCs in this tournament have a lot in common, and I think that's quite magical in itself.
I'm gonna do a lot more art for my children this week, since even though Minari absolutely deserves to win, I still want to give it my all =)
So for this propaganda post, I think maybe I could do a short introduction of the characters everyone has supported up until this point.
Starting with our first Main Character: Kiseki
In the world of Lichterbanden, you connect to others through letting your light shine, which basically just means to being able to open up socially, and showing people who you are, and more importantly that you even are here...
Kiseki can't really do that...
Due to feeling like she would just bother everyone if she tried to connect to them, her light basically isn't able to shine at all anymore, to the point nobody really notices that she's even there, and when she actually takes part in social interactions, her face forces itself into a constant neutral state further hiding her true self from the world.
What also doesn't help her is that she's really shy and it takes her a lot to muster up the courage and talk to people.
But not only is she really shy, she can also be really stubborn, and most importantly, hopeful.
There simply has to be a person in the world that maybe shares some interests with her, or someone that understands what she feels...
And after failing in her approach to get into a pristine Knight group because she would surely find someone there who would want to be her friend, she takes a leap of faith, out of the window, into the big and scary world to just make her own group instead.
Well that certainly is a lot for someone who isn't very well practiced at finding friends, but Kiseki is very determined and absolutely does not want to give up, even if there still is a lot to learn about how to be a team leader, and about herself.
So I would like to ask you to consider voting for her, and her friends one last time.

I still want to try to get to the finale, so I would like to share some propaganda and pictures as well.
The Knights of the red Ribbon, and Lichterbanden in general all stem from a pretty lonely time in my life, and this is also kinda what the story is about.
All of the Knights were pretty lonely,
either voluntairily, because maybe they feel like their friendship would be a burden to others or themselves,
or involuntarily since maybe they were kept apart from others for a good chunk of their lives, maybe they had to put up a performance and thus were unable to form genuene connections, maybe they are just way too busy and have trouble really understanding people, or maybe they're just really shy and feel like they would just bother most people anyway.
But still there is this hope that even with difficulties they could escape their current loneliness and find someone with similar interests to them, someone with shared experiences, or just someone who is there for them and wants to understand them,
an actual friend.
The knights of the Red ribbon stand for the friendship you could find anywhere, even if you feel completely alone right now there will be somone somewhere who you can form a connection with.
