Just look at them! They woke up together and they went to just being the sweetest, fluffiest, goofiest men in all of Japan who are so in love they can't even help it. And they even know when to tease and when to reassure.

I love them. I love how much Ryo loves Zen and how much Zen cares in return even if he doesn't want to face it or even believe in it. Ryo sees all the little things about Zen that make him special, that make him unique and make him... well, him. And Zen is starting to realize that he sees those things about Ryo too, sometimes.

And how they face the end of this bet as reluctantly as they can. The reluctance and the connection they've tenuously woven are so fragile and they know that. This is not finding a home, this is finding a spiderweb... beautiful and fragile and ephemeral and, yes, it's someone's home but how could it possibly be for them?

Zen's instant panic here is amazing. He doesn't want to call this off because he doesn't want to go back to what they were. They've kissed, they've fucked, they've changed the shape of everything between them and trying to back to rivals is just as scary as moving forward.

I completely forgot to talk about this! Zen got my blood pressure so high in this, I kept chanting 'please don't do this, please don't do this, please do not get this innocent girl involved in this mess' and fortunately this bisexual's guardian angel was on duty – or maybe it was her angel, we'll never know.

We could see in his eyes that it would be something he would regret instantly.

I love that he subconsciously called Ryo after considering blocking his number.

Pleasantly surprised by the pacing of this show, they are not dragging the story and it always feels like it's moving in the right direction. This is such a step up for the Tunku slot, their shows were hit and miss but Fake Fact Lips feels like an improvement in all fronts.

One of my favorite moments from this week's episode was Zen's little smirk when Ryo says he's not interested in having a meal with the secretarial group.

the scene is dark and the street light behind him is concealing it, but he is definitely happy to hear this and unable to control his reaction.

How's the Fake fact lips otp? From tumblr it looks like one of them is way more into the other (the dark haired dude) and that's not my jam. If I don't get 2 people very very into each other with the same fervor then I gotta skedaddle tbh.

I wanted to dispute that but I don't think I can, not right now at least.

Ryo is afflicted with a severe case of downbadism since their high school days, this much is clear, and while we are seeing Zen figuring it out his feelings there is a difference in their level of affection for the other. Ryo is using that silly contest about 'who is going to fall in love first' to get Zen to realize what is happening.

I also think there is something else at play here: there is a gap between the actors. Kaito is giving 200% both on and off screen (if you follow them on socials that is quite noticeable) while Yusuke is more closed off. And this gap is also a skill issue, because while I think Yusuke has improved since his acting debut it's undeniable that Kaito is in a different league.
