he's not looking at mobius. he can't. he can't meet his eyes-- god, those beautiful eyes. he can't look at him, not when hearing his voice, hearing that pain was already almost too much. he didn't want to hurt mobius, not really. but... maybe that was all they had left. maybe even with all these twisted up memories, parts ripped out, maybe even with that... all they could really have was pain and hurting one another.
loki knew that mobius-- this mobius-- didn't want to see him hurt. but it didn't undo it, did it? it didn't undo the years since their break up. it didn't undo all the chunks they'd taken out of one another along the way. and it didn't stop loki's seemingly never ending need to self destruct.
he clenches his teeth together, bites back the tears, bites back all of it and drops his head back, staring up at the ceiling.
"i shouldn't have done any of it. i think you should go mobius."

brow raises at the idea presented and slowly, a grin begins to form upon the god's features. curiosity colours his face and loki moves-- fluid, with ease. after all, anything should come easy really, when compared to moving through the cosmo, through timelines, through branches and branches for countless lost years.
instead of doing as desired, loki's hand comes up. a gentle sweep across cheek. delicate in ways loki often is not. but then-- this was mobius. he'd always brought out that side to him, hadn't he? a side loki had... long since thought he'd lost touch of.
"and what plans might those have been, my love? if i hadn't come to you... if i hadn't returned like this-- what was going to come next? what would you be without me, darling?"

A hum of acknowledgement resonates across her larynx, an undertone of mischief beneath doll-like features as she purposefully refuses to meet Loki's pointed gaze. Such honesty from the God of Lies and Deceit would take anyone aback, though for a moment the seductress wonders how much she can childishly prod at his mental images of her with suggestive words and flirtatious gestures before she accidentally awakens more amorous instincts within the deity.
A projection of herself materialized beside Loki, sitting on the arm of the love chair in which he sat. Lithe arm reaches out towards the God's face and circles to the back of his head, silken-soft fingers gently stroking his onyx curls of hair in a repetitive motion as Amora herself sat back and picked up her wine glass. She knew he was telling the truth, sensing his love and lust for her like a sweet burning of the skin. She peered into his consciousness and observed all the hand holding, cuddling, embracing of her curvaceous frame, every desperate kiss and every soft exhale of her breath against him. Teasing him with a personification of these fantasies may have seemed cruel, though it offered her a sense of enjoyment.
❛ Hm. It would appear so. ❜ Emerald gaze transfixed on Loki and voluptuous figure stirring as she shifts on the couch across from him, taking a long sip of wine whilst remaining eye contact, smirking against the cold glass.
loki had, over the course of his life, gotten rather good with his poker face-- keeping expression neutral, not letting certain things show. it was a protective action at most, though sometimes was simply an act to throw someone off course for his own amusement. for a moment, he'd let it slip. let amora see through him, even deeper, into his mind. an openness so few were ever really allowed.
but then she teases. then she goes and does things that, admittedly, he adores. but he smirks a little before, back up it goes. the plain expression. the distance in his eyes.
though he imagines she still senses it. the way he burns for her. how much of a wildfire it could be made into with such ease.
his gaze moves up, and, only after a long moment, does he allow some of that heat to show as it flickers over the illusions form. it's a momentary thing, brief, before his sharp attention returns to amora directly. legs spread and he leans forward, arms resting upon knees.
"how long will you toy with me? while you know i adore a little playing, dragging things out, haven't i waited enough?"
