Spending the last day of 2015 with the love of my life, travelling around Niagara-on-the-lake as well as Niagara Falls!
This evening we stopped at the two sister vineyard and had taste sampled three different kinds of wine, all of which were amazing (my favourite: the unoaked Chardonnay 😍) after leaving the vineyard Kevin showed me the canals which connected Lake Ontario and Lake Huron. Then we set on our journey to Niagara Falls itself, my first time ever being there I was so excited. We got out at the Whirlpool for a look and it was worth the stop, then next to went to the falls itself, one word AMAZING. I would recommend that everyone places it on their list of places to visit, especially in the winter time, we were lucky that we got to spend the day of New Years there. There was an abundance of lights and people, there was live music in the park and street food. Yum. That evening we ate a My cousin Vinnys, which was so good, recommend the penne pesto pasta with grilled chicken, also recommend the white sangria 😜. After that we went to the arcade and played a few games, and then the casino. It was crazy busy and there was an ice bar, people were dressed to the nines!
After leaving the casino and the thirty dollars spent there behind we went back to admire the falls once more. They were at this point lit up. Usually I have my canon with me, although on this Christmas trip to southern Ontario I forgot it on my dining room table😭. But there is a visual that will forever be embedded in my memory! All in all my last day of 2015 was definitely memorable!! How about you guys? What’d you do to kick off the new year?
