In case anyone was wondering, there is no meaning behind the name of my blog. I am a person with fully functioning legs, it’s not like I actually don’t have knees. I was just thinking one day about how different and difficult life would be if people didn’t have knees and I decided to make it the name of my blog. That’s all for now.

About me

So as I’m starting this blog about my life I feel like it’s appropriate for me to tell you a little bit about myself. I love the colors pink and yellow but it took me a really long time to be okay with that. I thought I wasn’t supposed to like pink because as a girl that’s the color I’m supposed to like and everyone seems to be so against girls actually liking pink. With yellow I thought I shouldn’t like it because a lot of other people say it’s too bright or that it’s gross, but I like that it makes me think of the sunshine and dandelions and smiles and it’s just a happy color. So that’s a little bit about me, I’ll try to remember to post some more tomorrow.

whenever i’m talking to someone and they tell me about something that happened to them i always tell them about something that happened to me that’s similar to what happened to them. i do it as kind of a “oh hey yeah this happened to me so i can relate to what you’re going through” but i’m always afraid it comes out as “oh yeah well this happened to me so clearly i have it tougher than you” or “i’m done talking about you let’s talk about me”

If you are ever given the chance...

Talk to people who are older than you about life. Go out to lunch and talk about school, and the future, and traveling. Talk about anything. Listen to their stories about when they were in highschool or about their ex and why they're glad that relationship ended. Talk about doing things that aren't the norm. Learn why it's ok to be different and not want what society tells you to want. Listen to their stories about finding what makes them happy and pursuing it. Soak up their wisdom and learn from their experience. If you ever get the chance to talk to someone older than you about life, you should take it.
