I had a lovely night with my wife ❤️
We shared a pizza, garlic bread, and seasoned fries from this small restaurant which was attached to a bowling alley and minigolf course.
You wouldn't expect good food, but it was so good.

The world can be very isolating
I wonder if the people I used to be "friends" with ever think about me.
I wonder if they'd be happy for me if they knew I came out as trans. Surely right? Most of them are queer.
I wonder if they'd care if they knew how much I struggle.
I wonder if they want to know if I'm okay, but I know they likely don't think about me much.
I wonder if they have regrets, I do.
I wonder if they'd be there for me when I need them. They haven't been before, even when I have been for them.
I wonder why I spent so much time on those "friends".
I wonder why I miss them.
From a young age, I never really questioned other people's existence, I just thought I was super accepting which I suppose is true.
I prided myself on not judging people, whether it was a friend and their history with drugs and rehab or people who didn't fit with society's expected norms. (read gay/gnc people)
I was always opened minded and accepting.
Then why did it take so long to figure out I was trans? Like wtf?
The signs were always there, I thought I'd fully questioned myself and settled that I was a hetro-flexible male. I THOUGHT THAT FOR YEARS!!!

I've decided to ask my lgbt friendly niece to speak to my mother on my behalf, to try and get her to chill the fuck out.
I deserve acceptance and love, we don't always get that though. At the moment I'd be happy with her keeping her nasty thoughts to herself.
The hardest part of being transgender is dealing with cis people, especially family.
My mother is incredibly unsupportive, the phrase "girls are cats and boys are dogs" un-ironically came out of her mouth.

It's okay if you're still struggling to accept yourself.
It can be hard to overcome beliefs that have been forced into you since you were a child, and the journey of learning to shake these beliefs and embrace who you are is a long one.
I'm proud of how far you've come, and I hope that you are, too.
