What's your opinion on the april's fools joke Schell Games did this year?

So I have some mixed feelings on it but overall I really liked it

To be completely honest I didn’t even believe I Expect You To Dine was real initially. But once I saw that it was real, I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed playing through it and exploring how to get the three different endings. I liked how there was a secret code that revealed the “true” ending of the game. It was a simple code that was easily found if you explored every option and gave you a satisfying result within the game (instead of being a coupon or ad for another Schell game)

Then when I found out about it being gone the next day is when I found myself feeling disappointed with Schell again. Another lore drop outside of the games once again erased and forever gone from the internet. Just like last year’s April Fools stunt. I know there were some people who weren’t able to play it yesterday who wanted to. Luckily, @agent-calivide found it archived on the wayback machine and @wyvchard (edit: Wyvchard got it from someone in the official discord) found a way to make it actually playable, secrets and all (https://web.archive.org/web/20260401221045if_/https://html-classic.itch.zone/html/17018074/index.html?v=1775057827)

Still there’s no trace of it ever existing in Schell’s ieytd website just like all the articles from last year which is weird imo because you could tell that work went into it. Idk why Schell is allergic to keeping fun things up even if they’re April fools jokes. But no one went in expecting an ieytd 4 announcement at the end so no one felt betrayed. Plus we got more fun content of [REDACTED] that wasn’t revealed to all be fake so it was better and way more satisfying than last years by a long shot

another very cool lab grown gem is Moissanite. It has a 9.25 on the mohs hardness scale where diamond is a 10. Moissanote also has a 2.69 refractive index in comparison to diamond’s 2.419 and here is the difference

and the best thing about moissanite? It is all lab grown and it costs only a fraction of what diamond costs. So fuck the diamond indsutry and buy lab grown gems which cost significantly less

Let me explain a little.

In my country there is an insult that says "your father dies" (or mother or any relatives in your family work as well, but mostly people use father) because insulting one's parents is highly rude for Asians. But the funny thing is this insult is so commonly used that people don't really mean it that way, they're just saying it. So there is a joke when two siblings shout at each other "your father dies" in a fight, forgetting that they have the same father.

That would likely happen between Hornet and Ghost lol

In medieval culture, an event like a royal christening is not a private party; it’s the public social event of the year. To not invite any person of rank to such an event is a deadly insult.

Maleficent is certainly someone you wouldn’t want at a party, but she’s also someone powerful enough that only a fool would ever dare treat her with such blatant disrespect. The only way the King and Queen could possibly have gotten away with not inviting Maleficent was to not invite any of the fairies at all; inviting the other fairies and excluding her is explicitly taking sides in the conflict between the fairy factions.

Which means they made themselves her sworn enemies, and she responded by treating them as such from then on. If you actually get into analyzing the social dynamics of the scene, it’s very clear that Maleficent was willing to show mercy at first by giving the King and Queen a chance to apologize for their disrespect to her. She doesn’t curse Aurora until after she gives them that chance and they throw it back in her face with further disrespect.

And yeah, if the King and Queen had done the properly respectful thing and invited her, Maleficent would have given Aurora a scary awesome present. Moreover so would the other fairies, because at that point both sides would be using it as an opportunity to show off and one-up each other. What they gave her before Maleficent showed up was basically just trivial party favors by fairy standards.
