Life Update

I'm a directioner and I'm proud 🩵

Coming back on to this app to relive my teenage obsession with one direction was not what I planned for this year.

Seeing the posts of Liam's passing made me think of my inner teenager. I didn't have a lot of friends to connect with until I started listening to One Direction. I was totally obsessed with all of the otp edits, AU content and especially the fanfics. I was so in love with 1D I made so many different accounts to reblog my obsession bc my feed was flooding with anything that involved them. I was not ashamed of it at all bc I know other fans on other social media platforms were doing the same thing.

Seeing that the internet as a collective made me feel relieved that there were other fans out there too. 1D had given me the comfort I needed for myself, the hope to know that there is love out there, there is connection within lyrics and an international fandom whose presence took over the planet. I miss them terribly when they were together and now since Liam has gone, the reunion we wanted as a fandom is gonna be a funeral. That hurts my heart. I'm gonna be listening to their albums for a long time.
