for me sus accounts are;

accounts that use tags

accounts w likes and followers shown

learn about how your phone transfers data

ex.

exifdata is what you find w/ photos, they can find where the photo was taken, what time and even things like what phone you have

metadata is the data your phone gives when you text or make calls, it tells your location based on your phone gps, message time/call duration

ip, your location, can be found when you press on links, send pictures, send emails, and sometimes depending on software can be more

DONT WORRY THO

as someone who's studying computer sciences, no one who can find your exifdata/metadata/ip with an app or through things like network connections will be able to as long as your cautious and have a vpn

If you don't want this to happen to you, I'd suggest following these tips that I don't see mentioned a lot

REMOVE METADATA from all photos you post. This is a no brainer but a LOT of people don't follow this no matter how much it's posted.

Don't post the names of stores you ĺift from that are extremely specific to the area you live in/near.

Don't overshare on your blog. I know we can feel very comfortable in this community, but there are rats everywhere. Nobody NEEDS to know your personal living situation, when your moving, where to, where you've lived in the past, etc.

Sorry for the super long post, but this is surprisingly a very common issue in this comm nowadays. As someone who's been here since ~2015, it sucks that people STILL don't know the basics of web safety and keeping your identity a secret. It's really not that hard.

PSA: Chocolate and cocoa butter both come from modern day slavery and a SUPER corrupt industry. Farmers in Ghana & the Ivory Coast are paid a dollar (if that) a day to harvest the cocoa pods, some even cut down and burn trees in national protected forests to plant cocoa trees. In 2000 it was discovered that African children were being trafficked to these areas to harvest cocoa. It’s still going on. Watch S2E5 of Rotten on Netflix, ig what I’m trying to say is steal these items!!! When anyone pays for these items the money is going to the main companies profiting off of this, and not the farmers. They often have their wages stolen. Tony’s Chocolonely is a GREAT chocolate company that pays an above minimum living wage to these farmers and knows all their farmers. I would recommend supporting this brand!!!

I recently saw a post talking about taking lifting easy and not judging yourself for not getting a 50 palette haul on your first week. And it reminds me of the time I managed to magically lift a naked palette from a sephor@ shop in an airport and I had people talking about trying it themself. And I just cannot stress enough that what I did was incredibly stupid and quite frankly I kind of wish I never did if because yeah I got away with it, but that was such a dumb chance to take and I didn’t even do it because I wanted the palette, I just wanted the story.

Please please PLEASE I’m begging y’all to think before you act. Don’t do something just for the notes. Don’t take stupid high risks just because you know you’ll get a lot of comments. This shit is illegal. We are breaking the law. We need to remember that at all times. Please do not take big risks. It’s not worth it. Don’t put yourself in danger of getting caught just because you want to one up other lifters.
