I went to DS🇼, selected the shoes I wanted, and removed the tag + concealed in a blind spot. The blind spot in my DS🇼 is in the back of the store in the clearance racks. I put the detached tag in a pair of boots or something. Then I put a pair of shoes from the clearance rack in the empty sneaker box and put the box back in its original place. Then I left lol.

For People that Dine and Dash

Unfollow me and block me. I’m not going to call a certain tumblr user out for advocating this but here is my two senses as a waitress myself who has worked for both mom and pop restaurants and major chain restaurants. Dining and dashing is on a different level compared to lifting from major corporations. Most major restaurant corporations already treat their staff like shit especially when their minimum wage is extremely low. Major chains tend to treat their staff shittier then say your mom and pop restaurant. Just because your law say’s it’s illegal doesn’t mean that businesses can’t find loopholes to get out of it. America for crying out loud doesn’t even enforce many of their laws. Major restaurants don’t give a shit about their staff and will take dine and dash money out of tips heck many restaurants do to make up fr the lost money because it’s the “waiter’s responsibility” to make sure that this shit doesn’t happen so it’s technically our fault when it does. If you want to get a free meal, file a damn customer complaint about the food not being adequate or something, just DON’T FUCKING DINE AND DASH. I hope the lifting community doesn’t support this when it’s something we waitresses get in so much shit for whenever it happens.

Almost got caught

I lifted the first time clothes (at C&A) with my lifting partner. We both lifted first time at this store and in general clothes. We tried the clothes on and searched for tags ( I was before in that store and none of the clothes had tags that you just can remove with a magnet), because I found nothing I put the shirt in my bag and we both walked out. As we walked past the towers we set of the alarm. I felt like I got a heartattack, after some seconds that we just stand there, shocked, we realized that no one came. So I forced myself to just walk normal. After that my lifting partner had a panic attack and I was really shocked and paranoid, but nothing happenend. We found out later that my friend forgot one of these „remove before washing tags“ and that‘s why we beeped.

Those are RFDIs. C&A has them in nearly every item of clothing. You need to look put for them carefully but other than that it is fairly easy to lift there. Walking was the right choice, my C&A does not care if the towers go off but that will vary from store to store. I do think they have LP too. But conceal, remove tags in the changing rooms and always check for hidden RFDIs!

First Week As LP

The things I’ve learned. Too fucking extensive guys. LP is a whole new WORLD.

Let me share with you some of the more lesser known things since taking this job.

1.) Companies ARE aware of the lifting side of the internet, they DO read our posts for clues.

2.) Lifters are usually on their game when they think they can identify LP. Those posts about like “you know it’s LP when ______such and such happens_____” they’re DEADON

3.) Know at Târget, cameras are always watched by one or two people and they communicate with at least one or two plainclothes by texting.

4.) SO, if you notice someone near you twice in a store and they are texting and not really shopping….BIG CLUE.

5.) LP make bets on how many lifters they can catch. It is a boring job, we mostly watch the cameras and find honest people.

6.) Catching a lifter gives us an adrenaline rush. It’s a cat and mouse game. Making yourself obvious only fuels us to hunt down others.

7.) Acting SUS will get our attention immediately. Distraction may work to divert our attention.

8.) BIGGEST RED FLAGS:

–> Drag queens, transvestites, people who seem like they are in wonky clothes or dressed beyond their gender. If you look weird, we will watch you whether or not we think you’re lifting. It’s simple human curiosity and entertainment.

–> Minorities. Especially minorities in large groups.

–> Large groups of pre teen girls

–> Anyone with a big bag

–> People with baby bags and strollers

–> People who wear beanies, hoods, hats, or other accessories making their face hard to see.

–> People who avoid sale sections

9.) Internal theft is investigated a lot more than shoplifters sometimes.

10.) It’s a lot harder for us to see you conceal when you’re walking in a straight line and using your hands discreetly. Walking will make us have to zoom and adjust to your movements, it’s a pain in the ass.

11.) We have to follow protocol to make a lawful stop. If we don’t see you conceal, but pick up on the other 3 warning signs, we can’t do shit.
