I am really amused to see that all the "magazines" (?) on display use Hakuouki game art from the games leading up to the original 2015 SSL (Hakuouki ports to all consoles, Reimeiroku, Yuugiroku, Zuisoroku).
So, either Hakuouki exists as a franchise in SSL-universe, or Hakuouki Shinsengumi is canon to SSL-timeline.

Hakuoki Memoirs: Drifting Clouds coming west in early 2027 - Gematsu
eastasiasoft will release otome visual novel Hakuoki Memoirs: Drifting Clouds for Switch in English in early 2027, the publisher announced. Pre-orders for physical editions will open via Play-Asia starting June 4 at 8:00 a.m. PT / 11:00 a.m. ET. (You can also save five percent with our multi-use âGEMATSU2025â coupon code.)
The limited edition will include the game, manual, drama CD, art book, acrylic character standees, Joy-Con sticker set, poster, and a numbered certificate in a collectorâs box.

I'm very honoured to be have been able to contribute some of my work to đ¸ Ephemeral Blossoms Hakuouki zine ( @ephemeralblossomszine ). This is my first contribution, the cover!
I received a few guidelines for what the mods had in mind, but I was otherwise free to interpret and draw as I saw fit.
Those who got the zine (thank you!) might notice that thanks to this illustration I did manage to squeeze in Kazama and Chizuru somehow. đThe early bird sticker is a little nod to the cover.
