What is this AU about?

Well I can't say much, cause I am trying to keep it as spoiler free as possible- however the main premise is "what if tenna and spamton had lives before being darkners?"

Post chapter one info:

Sybill G. Hampton is an Illinois native looking to one day be on wall street. Growing up in a happy healthy family may have been a mistake, his doting mother and his kind but stern father seem to be on different sides when it comes to bill's antics.

Anthony "Tony" (as he prefers to be called) Tanner is a Tennessee runaway looking for love and life in Illinois, hoping to one day be a news reporter (and to one day find "the one"). His mother is wicked and a good reminder for Tony to never... Ever... Look back...

yeah its a reference to Freddie Mercury The band Majesty is also a reference to Queen

Bill's music taste

I feel like sybill as a person would love classic rock, things like fleetwood mac (which is a great vibe setter for my AU, specifically "The chain" and "Gold dust woman" which are in my au playlist). The reason I associate him with classic rock is because of Sneo's boss fight theme and because of these two covers:

A lot of my AU assholes have their music taste based on their current enviroment. If you were to ask sybill or *#!@#&(@!( in present day what their favorite kind of music would be, perhaps its still classic rock, maybe gothic synthwave kind of music? Anything 80s sounding or punk or rock I guess?

Tony's music taste

Tony is very much an old soul when it comes to music. Think listening to frank sinatra, 60s pop music etc, big band, jazz, etc. But also, despite not liking any associations with his home state, he does enjoy a bit of folk music, country, blues etc. Fleetwood mac's "Dreams", "Gold dust woman" and "The Chain" are great examples of this and fit him as a character (how? I won't tell you until I get there). Here are some songs that fit him at this point of the story:

How did the AU come to be?

So after I watched a playthrough of chapter 3 and 4 when they released I remember having one of those 3am thoughts at around 3 am, asking myself "what if?" What exactly was that question? I won't tell you until we get there.

This au is my baby lol, and is something I've took a bit more seriously. I have a whole page where I have chapter plans and etc and a whole discord server (just for me, since its where I dump a bunch of art stuff and etc) where I would write little scenes I ended up coming up with.

Kinda thinking of doing a snowgrave version of this au cause I saw a post talking about how kris (in the Op's interp) doesn't want to hurt others but constantly demonizes themselves and how noelle does want to kinda do so to regain control of her life (in the Op's interp) This is not really spoilers cause its not canon to the AU, however, I'd think that in the snowgrave ver of the AU, Sybill feels like they are that person, and Tony... Tony becomes the one thing he hates... His mother.
