Vincent "Split-face" Romano, Underboss of the Romano Crime Family
First born son of Nicolas Romano he's slowly preparing to take over the family business. However, several high ranking members have been beginning to question his authority and if he's fit to run...including his own father.
Here are where any behind the scenes tidbits and etc are going to be posted. This post will update frequently so keep an eye out!
I hoped you enjoyed chapter one as much as I enjoyed making it!!!!
Who is bobby gallium? Who are majesty?
Well, gallium is a metal that is liquid at room temperature. You wanna know what other metal is liquid at room temperature?
....
yeah its a reference to Freddie Mercury
The band Majesty is also a reference to Queen
Specifically, Im referencing the solos did freddie did with an opera singer.
Bill's music taste
I feel like sybill as a person would love classic rock, things like fleetwood mac (which is a great vibe setter for my AU, specifically "The chain" and "Gold dust woman" which are in my au playlist).
The reason I associate him with classic rock is because of Sneo's boss fight theme and because of these two covers:
Also because I mean, 80s/90s sleazy finance bro lol
Songs that fit him at this point of the story:
A lot of my AU assholes have their music taste based on their current enviroment. If you were to ask sybill or *#!@#&(@!( in present day what their favorite kind of music would be, perhaps its still classic rock, maybe gothic synthwave kind of music? Anything 80s sounding or punk or rock I guess?
Tony's music taste
Tony is very much an old soul when it comes to music. Think listening to frank sinatra, 60s pop music etc, big band, jazz, etc.
But also, despite not liking any associations with his home state, he does enjoy a bit of folk music, country, blues etc. Fleetwood mac's "Dreams", "Gold dust woman" and "The Chain" are great examples of this and fit him as a character (how? I won't tell you until I get there).
Here are some songs that fit him at this point of the story:
Extra points for the last one cause its also his voice claim
How did the AU come to be?
So after I watched a playthrough of chapter 3 and 4 when they released I remember having one of those 3am thoughts at around 3 am, asking myself "what if?"
What exactly was that question? I won't tell you until we get there.
This au is my baby lol, and is something I've took a bit more seriously.
I have a whole page where I have chapter plans and etc and a whole discord server (just for me, since its where I dump a bunch of art stuff and etc) where I would write little scenes I ended up coming up with.
[21:47]Geva: However, I don't see why you need my help selling this idea. You know leather armor is light and flexible. The knights likewise know plate mail is heavy and stiff. That should be enough.
[21:47]Geva: If the order is choosing metal because they think it protects them better, then you provide them proof to the contrary. Simple, no?
[21:48]Geva: Ah, and should they want precedence, tell them of Ciceroix Pondefout. He was a leatherworker who visited from the Holy See in the time of my grandfather.
[21:48]Geva: Ciceroix, though skilled in his own right, needed Gridanian expertise to craft armor impervious to pincers, stingers, claws, and fangs. With the guildmaster's help, he succeeded.
[21:48]Geva: To this day, no one has devised a better leather-hardening technique. It's used in every suit of armor for the Wood Wailers and the Gods' Quiver. You have inherited it as a pupil of mine, in fact.
I actually wanted Gwen to wear leather and light armors in canon, as she’s a very mobile and agile fighter. The most metal she’d wear is pauldrons and metal plates on gloves and boots.
Huzzah! In-game lore says leather armor is legit!! (even tho it was pretty legit irl afaik??)
