@lightspeedtimetraveler
sweetest post ever??? 😭
Cecil doesn’t own himself????
Considering that he could be auctioned away (ep 37 - The Auction) and he desperately wanted Lot 37 (himself)
Study-tips!!!
- Rewrite notes from class
- Listen to Studio Ghibli music
- Write in comic stans. Always change before delivering
- Create a word document and collect all the info you want in your essay there. Copy paste is amazing
- Don’t have too bright light, it’s gonna tire your eyes
- Always have something to drink. Rehydrating is actually a great way to take a itty bitty tiny break
- Have something to fiddle with if you have to read long texts (or texts in general) (Example; spinners? ADHD figets, anything that doesn’t require mental focus)
- A chewing toy.
- Use SlidesCarnival for presentation making. It has great templates and different types of slides that might even help you get ideas to slide-types you want in your presentation (Prezi can also be good, for online presentations it’s GREAT)
- Comfortable pants. Always.
- Take a break, but don’t bring your phone if it distracts you. And a small walk can actually be really nice for a brain-break
- Popcorn is not that unhealthy, and it’s an easy snack if you just want to chew something tasteful. Again, a chewing toy is good too
PRO-CHOICE!
You can be a mother and be pro-choice. You can be against abortion and still be pro-choice. You can never want to have an abortion, and still be pro-choice. That’s the point. It’s a CHOICE.
You don’t have to have an abortion yourself, just to support others’ right to have one.
And to the argument that the man should be able to be a part of the decition;
Yes. I truly believe so. You are the father (or mother) this is your child too.
But! If she wants the child, and you don’t. She has every right to keep the child. But she cannot expect you to take care of it. To pay for it. You did not want this, you shouldn’t have to take care of it.
But! If you want the kid, and she doesn’t. You have to pay for the child. You have to be there for nine months and pay for everything child-related, take care of everything child-related. This so your child, you want it, you have to take care of it.
And even then, the carrier has the right to say no. This is their body. It’ll be their stretch-marks. Their uterus. Their body that can get damaged forever.
Whoever carries the child, has the right to decide what happens to the child and their own body. And if they decide that they will carry the child for the other parent but they don’t want the child themselves, should not have to pay for it.
Your CHOICE is in the bedroom not the abortion clinic.
If someone was raped, and got pregnant. It was not a choice. Should they be forced to have the baby?
If they find out that they and the child will die if they go through with the pregnancy... Should they be forced to have the baby?
If they’re on the pill, and the condom broke, and it was completely accidental. Should they be forced to have the baby?
If they got pregnant, and they are not financially stable enough to take care of a child, should they be forced to have the baby?
Pregnancy is not always a choice. And the choice is not always in the bedroom.
Don’t come here with that crap.
No, abortion should never be used as prevention and birth control. But it should be an open choice for those who need it.
Rape? Nope.
Child may die? Yep!
On the pill, or condom broke? Yep!
Not financially stable? Yep!
If the child dies during childbirth, so-be-it. However it should never be someone else’s “choice” to terminate anothers life.
If you’re not doubling up or tripling up on BC and only using one form? You’re risking pregnancy. Aren’t you supposed to be “in control of your body? Use a condom AND foam! Heck use the pill too. Or haven’t you considered that. But if you still can’t risk getting pregnant, maybe you shouldn’t be having sex?
If you’re not financially stable enough to have children, maybe, just maybe you shouldn’t be engaging in activities that are solely designed to make you pregnant! Again, can’t risk it, don’t engage in risky activities...
After all, if you were truly in control of your body, you would never need an abortion...
even tripling up on BC does not ensure a pregnancy will not occur. no form of birth control is 100% effective.
also sex is not an activity that is "solely designed to make you pregnant" and never has been.
If you can’t risk the consequences (getting pregnant), you shouldn’t partake in the activity (sex).
You think because it feels good and you like doing it that sex isn’t SOLELY for the purposes of reproduction? Please, enlighten all of us. What other purposes was sex “designed” for...
you said so yourself, sex is partaken in for pleasure. most people participate in sex recreationally and thats a fact thats been around forever will never change.
sex is also believed to strengthen a relationship and couples use it to feel close to one another and share love.
plenty of people never want to have kids but that doesn't mean they're going to stay celibate for the rest of their life.
also if pleasure wasn't a designed purpose of sex then why do females have an entire body part with the sole use of pleasure as part of their reproductive organs (men may have one too but im not entirely sure on that).
Cars are designed to be fun to drive. Yet they weren’t invented to be “fun”, they were invented out of necessity. “Fun” is a offshoot of necessity.
Because it’s fun to do does not mean that “pleasure” was the reason it was developed. It’s a by product. An enticement to procreate the race, you obtuse cow...
I'll take from the fact that you have started to insult me, a minor i may add, for simply trying to explain my opinion, that you are not willing to use logic to have a debate with me.
also I think its ironic that with a username like yours, you're pro life. After all isn't a guns sole purpose to kill?
but denying the fact that the majority of the planet have sex recreationally without the intention of having a child is a very strange hill to die on.
I don’t care that you are a minor. If you’re stupid, you’re stupid. You have yet to provide any “logic”.
I’m not pro-life, I’m anti abortion.
But back to you being stupid... I didn’t deny that the majority of the planet has sex recreationally. What I said was, if you’re going to do so, take the proper precautions. OR, take responsibility for the known consequences of having sex. Namely, getting pregnant.
If you can’t take that risk? DON’T HAVE SEX RECREATIONALLY. Killing another human being is not a solution to your poor life choices. I mean, aren’t you the idiots that claim you have 100% control of your bodies? Seems to me, if you had control of your bodies, abortion would be unnecessary.
And NO! I shouldn’t have to pay for a child you bring into this world because you’re too stupid to use birth control properly.
one thing that im not, is stupid and I know that so I dont really give a shit if you think I am or not.
if you're not pro-life but don't like abortion then don't have one. simple.
I've already explained that there are no precautions that can 100% stop a pregnancy from occurring and expecting people who don't want to have kids to not have sex is ridiculous.
also, who claims to have 100% control of their body? nobody does.
and nobody said you should have to pay for a child you don't want. the same way a woman shouldn't have to look after/pay for a child she doesn't want.
So if I’m anti-killing-kids, I should be fine with everyone else killing kids just as long as I don’t? (Example of stupidity).
Nothing is 100% guaranteed
Women claim to want 100% control of their bodies, are you somehow denying that?
You don’t have to pay for a child you don’t want, just don’t get pregnant. Problem solved.
Who told you you weren’t stupid, you’re grandma?
my grades and multiple unconditional offers to good universities told me that im not stupid so ill listen to them over some misogynist on the Internet.
abortion isn't killing kids. its terminating fetuses which is different as kids have consciousness and fetuses don't.
and the 100% control thing is that we don't want other people enforcing what we should put our bodies through.
also you keep going back to the same point so I seem to exhausted your arguments but heres something you need to accept: accidental pregnancies happen and abortion is legal.
By “accidental pregnancies” do you mean women who are too stupid or too lazy to use birth control correctly?
Yeah, stupid.
Even if women are on birth control, it’s not always it works! And condoms can break!
And do you really think a rapist would wear a condom? Or even care if their victim get’s pregnant?
TO AMERICANS
I live in Norway. This is how it is in a developed country.
School;
- Free elementary school.
- Free middle school
- Free Highschool
* at the beginning of Highschool, we were required a computer. Either our own or from the school. It was about 400kr a year (about 50$), and we applied for a scholarship, something we have the right to just because we go to school and are kids.
- No dress code
* sure, not naked, and not skirts that shows off your underwear. But you can wear bare shoulders, bare knees, even bootyshorts are allowed.
- university is also free
- all school is free, unless you want to go to private schools
- private schools are basically the same as public, except you get Macs instead of regular computers, and just stuff like that
- One start learning English from like, third grade. And as soon as you start middle school, you start with either Spanish, French, or German (or other, if you have difficulties in learning language) By the end of High School, everyone knows more or less three languages
Healthcare;
- Free healthcare until you’re 16/18 y/o (depending on what you need)
- ‘Free’ healthcare, or very very affordable
- Free ambulance, but if you call it for anything other than an emergency situation, you get one hell of a fee
- Abortion is fu**ing legal.
- 12 months of mother-pension to take of the kid. Some months of father-pension as well (but I can’t remember the exact
Corona;
- Everyone who possibly could work from home, worked from home
- due to our obligations of computers, we had online school. All the way. Just no exams
- Everyone that lost their job, now gets money from the state till we get back to normal
Gays;
- Public, marriage, in schools, in church, wherever. Gays are just people.
- Gay marriage is just called marriage. We have pride is different cities. Parades, concerts, activities during these pride events
Economics;
- Taxes.
- We have middle-expensive taxes so that our less fortunate people can go to school, get healthcare, so that no one in our country is forced to be poor.
- If you are poor, your kid gets to go to school. They get to get healthcare. Just like everyone else. And the state takes care of you until you’re on your feet again
- Everyone living in Norway has three figures taken from their annual tax return published: their annual income, income tax paid, and total wealth. Yes, really!(Prior to 2013, this data was completely open and searchable by anyone. That has since changed though, and now a person is able to see who has looked up their own data. The thought behind this concept is that tax evasion becomes much more difficult to accomplish. If you're recording a low income and/or wealth but are driving around in a brand-new Tesla, the authorities are going to get suspicious.)
Other;
- We are ranked as one of the happiest places on earth.
- We have a law; “Allemannsretten”. (Translate; Every Man’s right) And it means, you can go anywhere. Nobody owns the forests, or the mountains. You own your garden and land of course, but everyone has a right to go anywhere as long as they don’t destroy anything and clean up after themself
- We all speak English.
- Every working person has a right of 5 weeks pay every year, and you’re basically required to use these weeks.
- We are one of the safest countries, with a very very low crime rate
- Prisons are used to rehabitate criminals, instead of punishing them.
- Highest number of electrical cars.
- No guns. No weapons. We barely let our police have guns in their cars. To get a gun, you have to go through tests, you can’t have a criminal record, you must store it in the right way, you have to have the ammo somewhere else or in a safe, and a lot more. But hey, if you’re not a criminal, why should this be a problem for you?
- Women are almost completely beside men. It’s barely a difference and it’s actively being changed. We have the same income for the same job/education.
- The Colonel-in-Chief of the Norwegian King's Guard is a Scottish penguin, Brigadier Sir Nils Olav
Yeah, we’re run by the state, but Americans. NOT EVERYTHING NON-CAPITALISTIC IS COMMUNISM. We’re run by the state, we have a lot of private stuff too.
Everyone has a right to education. To healthcare. Yo food.
We barely have any homeless, because we have homeless shelters. So if you’re homeless in Norway, it’s because you want to.
So please, tell me one more time, that America is amazing
America was better when it was still legal to be homeless. I am a veteran and enjoy living outside due to growing up in the Pacific north west
Now I am considered an outlaw and have warrants for my arrest since I believed in freedom of choice.
WHAT?! YOU’RE NOT ALLOWED TO BE HOMELESS?! WHAT KIND OF BULLSHIT IS THAT?!
I’d be interested to know how much aid is Norway currently sending the homeless in America?
Homelessness in Norway is chosen. We have hundreds of facilities and homes for anyone who needs. We have shelters and organisations to take care of them.
We have jobs ready for the homeless to start at, so they can start their lives again. We have own shelters for teenagers, in the rare cases where they are thrown out.
Still, if you wanna be homeless or live outside, that’s fine. Have fun (disclaimer, I’m not sure how taxes works for those who are still homeless)
But I do have a question, How much aid is America sending homeless in America?

We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.
