PRO-CHOICE!
You can be a mother and be pro-choice. You can be against abortion and still be pro-choice. You can never want to have an abortion, and still be pro-choice. That’s the point. It’s a CHOICE.
You don’t have to have an abortion yourself, just to support others’ right to have one.
And to the argument that the man should be able to be a part of the decition;
Yes. I truly believe so. You are the father (or mother) this is your child too.
But! If she wants the child, and you don’t. She has every right to keep the child. But she cannot expect you to take care of it. To pay for it. You did not want this, you shouldn’t have to take care of it.
But! If you want the kid, and she doesn’t. You have to pay for the child. You have to be there for nine months and pay for everything child-related, take care of everything child-related. This so your child, you want it, you have to take care of it.
And even then, the carrier has the right to say no. This is their body. It’ll be their stretch-marks. Their uterus. Their body that can get damaged forever.
Whoever carries the child, has the right to decide what happens to the child and their own body. And if they decide that they will carry the child for the other parent but they don’t want the child themselves, should not have to pay for it.
