This blog is my place of comfort; a personal sanctuary for myself where I can enjoy writing a character I absolutely love to death. Please understand that this blog does not recognize nor follow the Netflix adaptation of Castlevania in any way or form ( except for that lovely painting of Leon we get to see lol ). While there may be very minor sprinkles of inspiration from the netflix adaptation, this blog ultimately strictly follows the lore of the original Castlevania games and that alone when it comes to storyline, character, headcanons etc etc. I will also not interact with strictly Netflixvania specific portrayals, ever.

The Mun.

The name is Krile ( she/her ), and I guess its probably safe to say I am a Tumblr RP veteran who spent a good portion of her roleplaying life on tumblr. I did end up taking an entire year of hiatus off Tumblr, and I am mostly here for my closest friends who still remain here. I will not be very active here, but I do check here often.

LACIE.

        Lacie was singing to her heart’s content. No matter how many times she did it singing was always an unique experience to her–nothing else in this would could match this feeling–this feeling of liberation. It was only her and this small world—–until someone entered her small world, his voice carried a sense of familiarity. She hadn’t noticed him entering her domain but he was a gentle surprise.

        ❝  As always your presence comes at the least unexpected moments. Your words bring great pleasure to me. This song was, indeed, made by me.

     Do you want to know the meaning?  ❝

A NOD CAME FROM THE BLONDE, when the brunette asked if he wanted to know the meaning behind the words woven betwixt the melodies. The little song Lacie always sung was beautiful, Leon admittedly enjoyed listening to it any time he heard it. ❝ —Please tell me; I would like to know the choices you made as you composed this beautiful melody, ❞ In fact, the hunter wished to remember the whole song, so he could sing it to himself.

He wasn’t the best singer by any means, at all. In fact, the baron-turned-vampire hunter wasn’t the brightest of minds ( as a child he would much rather run around and play rather than sit and study all day ). Yet, he had a bit of a penchant for remembering encantations and hymns, no matter how long they are, word by word.

THE ACQUAINTANCE

❝  all i can say is that it shouldn’t be long.  he wasn’t here when i arrived – he left a note stating that he had something urgent to attend to in arvantville.  ❞   the abandoned town, of course, left in ruins after gebel had wreaked his chaos upon it.  miriam’s posture relaxed, arms crossing over chest as she stared at the man.  there was no sense of hostility in her gaze, but that of wonder.  something about him felt .. off.  no, not about him but something around  him, perhaps ?  she couldn’t quite place her finger on it.  yet to think such a thing that something might be off, she knows that she’s one to talk with the crystallization that crept around her body, decorating it not beautifully, but dangerously.

                   ❝  are you from the church ?  ❞  while the church preferred not to mix with people from the alchemists guild or anything that remotely even reeked of it, the latest events left them with no choice.  still, miriam wasn’t bothered in the least of their opinions.  she had become accustomed to how people viewed her when they knew of shardbinders and their purpose.  some in disgust, others with a mild curiosity sometimes bordering on fear.  she had learned to keep to herself to keep trouble at a minimum  ..  for the most part.  there were others like zangetsu who held an unbearable grudge bordering on vengeance.

THE LOOK IN HER EYES WERE CURIOUS, just as the lion who is certainly as curious about the woman before him as well. Part of him felt bad that he had to judge her quickly like this from the look of her as well as the demonic energy emitting from it. The blonde knew he couldn’t just do this, knowing that she has shown no hostility in her speech nor her body language at all. Yet, it was never an everyday thing to see someone with such peculiar traits. In fact, he wondered if she was cursed? Unwillingly bound to some demonic power for someone’s own benefit? A cruel fate for a young woman like her, perhaps, just as cruel as the fate Sara was put unto.

❝ —Yes, I am from the church. I am not a member of it, but I was personally requested by them to help handle the situation at Arvantville, ❞ Leon nodded as he gave his answer to the crystalized maiden, who has yet to give her name. ❝ My name is Leon, Leon Belmont. You can just call me Leon, and you are? ❞ Wanting to unease the tension between, the lion introduced himself to the brunette before him.

SO IT IS YOU....

How long had he been at this? Day after day, he would hang around the ruined city, just tearing apart any sorry fool who crossed his path. It didn’t matter if it was someone merely passing by or other Lost. This was all that was left to do, and it was fun. Sometimes he couldn’t tell if his bloodlust was a natural part of himself or if it had actually been spurred on by his transformation into a Lost. But he was definitely different from the ones around here, that was for sure.

He had been sitting on the floor around the corpses of those he had just killed, taking a break from his mayhem. It wasn’t long before he could sense another presence nearby and he turned his head up to look at whomever or whatever was approaching. Annoyance crept up his spine. Promptly, he sprang back up in case this person wanted to fight, though he was quite tired and wanted to avoid people for now.

“Heheh…looks like you made a wrong turn. Now why don’t you scram before I bash your skull in?”

THE BRASH, ABRASIVE CHOICES OF WORDS, the large grin across his lips. That was unmistakably Carmine, his old acquaintance back in the religious group they were in years long forgotten after dying & resurrecting countless times. A sorrowful expression formed upon the Revenant’s face, partially obscured by the purification mask covering the lower half of his face. On the other hand, Leon gripped onto his sword tightly, knowing this man is now a shade of what the acquaintance used to be.

It is obvious he is a lost, but something felt different; there was speech. Losts shouldn’t be capable of speech.....As far as the Belmont knew. There was also the peculiarity of Carmine maintaining the look he had just like in the past, his usual self, the only thing which is setting him apart being the horns upon his head. Most Losts were generally unrecognizable as time passes. It was puzzling indeed, and the rumors spoken around in the city were certainly true about this peculiar lost.

❝ —It is me Carmine, Leon. You may not remember me, but we were comrades many years ago, ❞ Leon answered back, hoping his words could possibly reach the other. He was a friend once, and he prayed to god he would listen.

∘⡊ ✿ ˚⊹: for some it would be incredibly boring but rose appreciated the monontony & repetition of her new life. keeping one’s self busy was a sure way to stave off loneliness, though she was forever in debt to the Church finding worth in her abilities. still, her heart ached to hear the melody of the forest & to be one with her found family of faeries. shaking her head free of this longing, she refocused her attention on organizing a dossier of various magical properties; mandragora, honeysuckle, alrune’s petals… she had to memorize these things as to avoid any confusion. her pretty mouth pursed lightly upon hearing a euphony of giggles coming from her familiars ( her tiny little sprites. their cute faces & floral scent were a comfort to her. if only they were well behaved ). amethyst hues glanced around to find the source of their merriment & locked onto a gentleman she hadn’t seen before. he was…very handsome with fair skin, silver-gold hair & bright blue eyes. rose felt her cheeks burn but shook it away quickly, walking towards the man & waving her hands to ward off her infatuated familiars. 

❝hey, shoo! shoo! leave the man alone!❞ she scolded, a pout on her lips. fortunately they obeyed & flit off in the other corner, still finding this new presence awfully enchanting. rose sighed, adjusting her spectacles & turning to face the other.  ❝forgive them, sir. i trust you are not use to creatures like them… i assure you! they are good children!❞

IMPRESSIONS OF HOW HE UNDERSTOOD GOD changed ever since the Belmont was invited to the church. It was obvious they were not shy from the matters of magic & alchemy, whereas the ‘public’ church he once knew ( as well as anyone else not involved in the matters of the supernatural ). In fact, Leon started to realize the way many masquerade as ‘the church’ or as ‘servants of god’ were only narrow-minded men who used their position to sway the public into discriminating those who didn’t necessarily, fully followed their ways.

As much as that was an eye-opener for the lion-hearted hunter, it was also a little extra salt to a wound; the wound of the fact that he was rather easy to manipulate & deceive. The memory of being used by the man he considered his brother & best friend to become an unearthly abomination to go against god for taking away his beloved wife was still lingering on even after a few years have passed. The memories burden him, but at the same time, presses him on to continue hunting the night.

As he past through the many shelves, almost reminiscent to the library Mathias once had, there were then swarms of sprites swirling towards his head. There were still things to be surprised at on what The Church keeps within its walls, and this was certainly one of them. Leon was not used to the creatures, and he didn’t want to harm them, thus he couldn’t just swing his hand to shoo them away lest he injures one of them. As soon as a maiden of fair skin, golden locks hasted her way towards the Belmont, the sprites left the lion alone. ❝ —I will admit, yes, I was startled by their presence, but I will take your word on that they are harmless, ❞ Bewilderment was still in his eyes over what has just happened, but his tone was gentle enough to insure to the other that he wasn’t angry at the little creatures.
