When you can't draw faces...
What it feels like walk through the city...
Saying that trans people 'became their gender' is like saying Christofer Columbus made the Americas. Wrong on so many levels.
I just wish to find that one person that I can watch the sunset with, and have conversations that last the whole night.
Coming out as transgender can be scary, you never know how someone is going to react, accept you, etc… coming out to my teammates was something that I was never afraid to do.
I am so fortunate to play a sport that empowers its players the way that hockey does. It empowered me to be my authentic self, I have both hockey and my teammates to thank for that. You all are my second family.
I honestly don’t know where I would be without my hockey family. So thank you to all of my past and current teammates for always being there for me, always accepting me, asking questions, or doing something as simple as using the right pronouns/name for me.
You all mean the world to me and I just wanted to take this sappy post to let you all know that 💙
I’m fine with reminding people but when they don’t even try–
It’s really frustrating.
