Seriously, the most useless people in every leftist activist group are the ones who refuse to see progress as, well, progress, and instead are obsessed with the idea of fomenting Revolution on a truly massive scale, because “that’s the only way things will ever truly change.” Not that they’re actually going out and trying to START that revolution ever, mind you. They’ll just keep telling you that that’s the only real solution, and until that happens, until they can get their absolutely perfect outcome, they’ll just sit on their asses and tell the rest of us that what we’re doing is useless. Couldn’t agree more. I wish all those people who think a revolution is the only solution would look a bit into history (spoiler: revolutions, regardless of how well intended their aim were, never fully reached those aims, more often than not the result was quite the opposite) and also look a bit into how democracy works (spoiler: democracy is based on compromise, nobody gets everything they want, you may have slow progress but it is still better than dictatorship).

little update because I’ve hardly been here much, mind the tags.

i wasn’t really all that great at keeping up here to begin with, but then life got kinda shitty? my dad passed away almost a month ago now, and on top of that i’ve been juggling my new job with trying to keep my mental health on track. 

i mostly just come on Tumblr to read my dash a bit, find some cool things to look at, and check tracked tags? i guess? 

i’m pretty much RPing exclusively on discord these days, with very little activity anywhere else. it’s just the easiest for me to keep up with things and there’s no pressure to use fancy graphics or fonts, no nonsense, just writing and plotting.
