“What do you think of this one, Shaggy?” Daphne held the dress on its hanger towards him before putting it in front of her and turning to the mirror. “It looks so groovy, doesn’t it?”

Shaggy is not sure why he's being asked this. He clearly has no fashion sense and wears the same outfit every day because it's easy. But then nobody in Mystery Inc is really that into fashion aside from Daphne. It's really more about spending time with a friend than anything.

He tries not to look bored--because how many dresses can he even look at? He smiles, dangling his lanky arms over one of the racks, "Yeah Daph, it's like real far-out." Truth be told, he's pretty sure she could pull off any outfit so it's not like it really matters. "You should try that." He raises his arm up to point at an outfit that looked like it had been shaved off of a Muppet.

Of course it would work! Minjae’s plans hardly ever failed. Well, perhaps the odd one or two–or ten.

With a small smirk perhaps done with a little too much confidence. he rolled his shoulders and adjusted his footing into a better stance as he lifted his hand to aim for his target. Surly with the angle he was coming from and the right trajectory, he should lasso that cylindrical treasure just like in the movies. Oh, he couldn’t wait for Shaggy to witness such a triumphant retrieval.

He lifted his arm back, closing one eye to better focus as the other narrowed in on the can. With a deep breath he counted down.

One…two…three!

Well, the can certainly came down. As did several other cans and boxes and bags within the vicinity. Crashing they had come, each one conveniently (almost as if in revenge) making contact with some part of his body before piling on the tile floor below.

“Aish-shit…” he mumbled under his breath, rubbing his nose where the can in question had smacked him. “Well uh…more snacks? heh…”

It all happened so quickly but his imagination had pictured it all in slow motion as if it was a movie scene. Each item coming down one at a time. A Jenga tower that had toppled over when the wrong piece had been pulled.

Shaggy instinctively flinched. Squeezing his eyelids closed tight and ducking down as if that would help him to avoid the avalanche of products that had come crashing down. “ZOINKS!”

He opened his eyes back up again to catch the store clerk peering over from the cash register--clearly not at all amused by any of this but probably just hoping she didn’t have to deal with paperwork for somebody who had gotten hurt.

“Oof that’s gonna leave a mark! Are you like alright man?” He bent over picking up a bag of spicy red pepper flavored potato chips and examining them closely. "That's true man, and like it did come down."

This is the deadest year for the Scooby-Doo fandom and it legit makes me sad. Even if a lot of the projects that came out were kind of mediocre lately, we still had constant stuff coming out. Scoob: Haunted Holidays, Mystery Pups, Krypto, and Haunted Highrise all supposedly got canned. Leaving us with just Velma which I still haven’t watched.

As much as she detested the squirmy little blood-sucker, the pup’s paws finally dropped the stick. Shutting her eyes tight, she inwardly groaned as her palms clasped around the slimy little leech and grabbed it. Ew!!!

“Get off my friend now!!” She yelped in a strain, tugging when the monstrous beast held fast. It wouldn’t let go. She pulled and pulled, wanting to scream from the mere NOTION of touching it!

POP!

Off the monster came, landing with a splash in the water and Snoop on her rump. Victory!

Shaggy let out a loud agitated yelp that could have caused all the nearby birds to stir and come flying in a massive flock out of the trees. With tears streaming down his face, he looked down at the bite mark,  “Thanks. I think I’m gonna need to get a bandaid.”

Still shaken, he reached out his hand to try and help Snoop back to her feet, “ I also think I’m going to need an ice cream to get my nerves back down. That was like more than enough drama for the day. I just wanted to lay on the beach and eat some snacks.”

What is going on with cutting posts?

You may have seen some posts floating around lately about the beta editor and trimming reblogs, and possibly found yourself extremely confused trying to figure out what this tangled web of editors, extensions, and add-ons even means. I’ve been on this site for years, and I still find the whole thing terribly confusing.

So this post is my effort to explain everything – legacy vs beta, New XKit vs XKit Rewritten, editable reblogs vs trim reblogs – everything. This also doubles as a tutorial for the various methods of cutting posts.

TL;DR

Tumblr is in the process of switching to a new post editor that some old users have opted into, while new users have been forced into it.

The old Editable Reblogs extension does not work with this new editor, requiring people to use a new extension called Trim Reblogs.

Trim Reblogs and Editable Reblogs are not compatible. If your partner uses Editable Reblogs, you cannot cut their posts properly using Trim Reblogs (unless you’re willing to do some tedious and frankly unreasonable workarounds).

The only way for everyone in the RPC to cut their posts properly and efficiently is if everyone moves to the new system and uses Trim Reblogs. Clinging to the old system with Editable Reblogs is actively creating issues for the people using the new system – some of whom do not have a choice.

He’s not brave. Far from it. But she’s younger than him and he owes it to her to not let her do anything risky. The same way he would with Sugie. “Maybe you should like leave the room Wendy.”
