I'm 5'3" and my pink lifting bag is EXACTLY the same size. It honestly looks like a fashion statement more than a weekender or y'know, a lifting bag, so I wouldn't worry about it--especially since it's brand name and a classy white!
Why is walgreens so damn hard?
I remember someone posting that their friend got caught at Walgreens and it was because their store uses pinhole cameras in their shelves. AVOID WALGREENS.

A couple things:
1. Unless you’re a giant douche canoe, I don’t post asks publicly. It’s A-OK. No one got to know about you creeping a shoplifting blog. *thumbs up*
2. I get A LOT of asks about how to hit particular stores and while I’m more than happy to answer them, I have to be honest, if you’re 14/15/16/17 years old, of course the SAs at Sephora or Bloomies or Nordstrom or at any other high-end retailer are gonna be up your ass. These stores cater to an older market; people who are old enough and have enough money to buy their hella expensive stuff. If you’re 15 and go into Sephora in jeans, a T-shirt, and your LeSportsac purse, you’re going to stick out like a ginormous neon pink flamingo among the 20, 30, 40 year olds browsing the store. So of course I’ll give you advice, but I would NOT suggest you hit some of the particular stores you ask me about. Because while you can dress the part, you can’t change how old you look, and that’s something SAs pay attention to and won’t ignore.

I have a REEEEEEEALLY nice/big makeup haul that I did over about a week or so that I haven’t had time to take pics of but aksjalfjdjjdjdjskskdkd finally got Guerlain’s Météorites! I want to use them all and put them on my vanity, but I’m waiting to take a haul picture :x
the aspect of sharing tips and helping each other to learn and improve our skills is very important to this community
there’s nothing wrong with being critical but i think its imperative to always keep it respectful and friendly because we don’t want to discourage anyone from learning and growing

So it’s only a 2 Alarm Tag, not a 3 Alarm, meaning the device itself will not alarm if it triggers the security towers which is what I was worried about in my other post. However, the Mini Patriot Roosevelt is a 3 Alarm Tag, so don’t assume all tags similar to this are 2 Alarm.

So yeh, sorry guys, these things do set off towers, but the tags themselves don’t alarm unless you cut the wire. Out of curiosity, I went to Bed and Bath yesterday with the bag and tag still intact in my purse, and the towers went off, which confused me because the towers at Marshall’s didn’t go off when I went through with the bag, but they did when I got close with Sensormatic tags. And the tag was still functional—the light was still blinking and it went off when I cut the wire. *massively confused*
But just a heads up- my Barnes and noble, which is in the center of a small city, doesn’t tag their moleskine notebooks. Also mine has no cams at all. I got 2 already. I probably won’t get any more from that particular store because I work nearby, but...
I don't think liftingdrifter meant to be misleading or for this to be a tip at all. We're all shoplifters and drifter was just spreading some insight and knowledge about her particular store; and after reading this, I might even go check to see if my B&N tag their notebooks. Also, whether it could be generalized or not, everything you hear within this community should be taken with a grain of salt anyway. OP wasn't being misleading, though if someone was going to lift a bunch of moleskins without checking for tags after reading this, they're the ones to blame for being careless and sloppy tbh.

lilac-lift doesn't have an anon option so pass it on- those are an updated version of "screamers" they have a very loud alarm that goes off when tampered with (literally customers sometimes bump into bags while walking down the aisle and they go off) and they also set off the alarms at the doors.

The place where you return carts are really close to the towers, so I returned my cart and took out all my stuff (which included a bag with that tag.) I was really close to the towers and nope, the tag didn’t go off. No sound. No beep. The fucking towers didn’t even go off. So I made my way back to a blind spot, concealed this really nice Dooney and Burke bag, and waltzed out of the store. No beeps. No sounds. Nothing.
Conclusion: These tags only go off when tampered with and will not set off the towers.
DAMN. You got away with another one?! I dunno if this conclusion is necessarily safe to make, but maybe people could try the same thing you did with getting close to the towers to test it out. It’ll probably be super fucking loud when you take it off at home though, haha. Hopefully you find a way to shut it up.
Word, girlies. Test it out, though I'm like 10000% sure the towers or the tag didn't make that BEEPBEEPBEEP sound. And I got away with two actually. One MK clutch only had a sensormatic tag on it. I couldn't believe my luck because it was super cute too and I just used my hook on it.
And I think acquiererofthings told me that you can dunk the tag in water and add salt to it until it short circuits. I've dealt with these noise-making tags like that before, and I'm pretty sure this is the same :)
