Not exactly how the scene goes, but I couldn't resist the idea of Rusty's internal feelings about living in the forest showing in his expression, as if he couldn't contain his excitement but is still left starstruck over the offer!

I might do more character designs next, but I have been enjoying illustrating these scenes! They're really helping me with making simple backgrounds, and I'll definitely do more of these in the future too.

(Also I accidentally left Graypaw out of these oops, but by the time I realized I forgot to include him there was no room, and I didn't want to adjust the formatting lol. Let's just pretend that if I made things into a comic format he would be in the next panel or something.)

Into the Wild!

The book that started it all. I still have vivid memories of walking into my elementary school library when I was around 8 or 9 years old, seeing this book, and being the cat obsessed little kid I was, I found myself immediately intrigued.

So as an homage to this nostagia, I thought about redesigning the first book cover for fun! Don't get me wrong though, the first original cover of Into the Wild is peak, but I wanted to give it a try regardless!

I thought the scene where Rusty first goes into the forest to explore would make a nice cover for a book, but since the scene takes place at night it doesn't stand out like the original design. I still like it nonetheless, and it can be a stand alone piece without the text.

The orange golden boy himself! Super happy with this. Had to draw him standing all regal in his old age as a leader before I start showing off how dumb he actually is in the earlier books 🧡

I've always loved the headcanon that he had a Somali coat and is now an expensive little feral cat. It's such a useless fact, but it makes me giggle.

Anywho, more to come! The other piece I teased might take me a touch longer getting it to how I like it, but that'll be my next artwork that I'll share!

Taking a step away from Pokémon for a little bit to post some art of one of my favorite childhood book series! My inner child is so happy, and it's been reinvigorating my art passions again after this busy month. I look forward to showing off what I've been cooking. Here's a little tease for now~

For those who might prefer the Pokémon art, I will eventually get back to more shenanigans with them in the future, maybe switch between this and the Pokébean crew depending on my mood, but I am stuck on some kitty brainrot and there's no telling when it'll calm down.

HELLO! I have been tired.. and personal life has taken me away from drawing again. Sorry for my absence! Eventually I'll have more freetime, but these next few months are going to be BUSY for me, so posts might stay once a month for a little bit.

I actually like Magikarp and think the pathetic nature of the Pokémon is fun as a concept, but at the same time it is way too fun to bully them, so here's Jala "playing" with a Magikarp.

I've been having a small bit of art block recently, so figuring out what to draw has been interesting. I'll likely just draw more silly things like this until I can work myself up to draw more scene-like drawings.

Quiet moment in the rain.

Mani sometimes feels like a burden because they're the smallest of the group, but recognizes (probably begrudgingly) that they need help on occasion. Hilda is always willing to help out and be supportive of her friends.

I imagine these two have a mutual understanding of each other even though personality wise I think they'd be very different.

I like to think Jala and Mani became friends first based solely on the fact that their Pokémon existed before Corviknight's introduction in Galar, so they possibly have a closer bond before Hilda joins their group.

They get along (for the most part), but Mani usually only tolerates Jala's antics until they decide to be more of a menace to the poor little mimikyu lol

Jala and Hilda like to rough house a lot, much to the dismay of a certain smol Mimikyu who can't match their power and size as easily. I imagine that they've known each other longer than either have known Mani, and thus have a closer relationship at the beginning, but of course they all become close eventually.

I've been working on my shading and backgrounds recently, which are two things I always neglect in my art. This was good practice!

It's been a really long few weeks and I am very eepy, but I had to try and finish this as soon as possible. The irony is not lost on me that I have one Pokébean that doesn't evolve, but is surrounded by two (so far) that can evolve, and not just once, but twice!

I love this concept. My poor Mimikyu Mani... I'm sure they won't hold a grudge for too long though.

Rookidee | Corvisquire | Corviknight

Hilda's evolution redesigns are now finished! I'm so happy with how they turned out she looks so goooood

These were definitely a challenge at first, but it was very satisfying to see it all come together in the end. They're not as drastic as the Luxray design in terms of straying further from the original design, but they better resemble the birds that Pokémon is based on, so that's a win in my book.

Anyhow! I hope you guys like her as much as I do. Good luck to future me when I have to render the armor again lol

"I caught a tiger beetle! I pounced first!"

Hello everyone! I really wanted to post something sooner, but my internet was down since the start of this new year 🙃 so I had to juggle that while also getting this piece done but then also going to my IRL job and-

Just a lot already, but my internet is back and I'll get back to posting art again!

This was not supposed to be what I drew next, but in between all the chaos I've been passing the time with gaming... and the new update for Animal Crossing is going to come out soon.... so I couldn't resist lol

So as a fun little thing while I still work on the Corviknight evolution line, I decided to tell on myself by drawing my Pokébeans playing the game in anticipation for the update. I even drew how I make myself look in the game on the Switch screen as well.

Also my Corviknight design will be my next post I SWEAR! Though think of this as a little sneak peak as to what I'm thinking about doing with Corvisquire for that drawing.

(Also also I didn't want to draw snow for Animal Crossing because the grassy seasons are just so nice ;v;)

Shinx | Luxio | Luxray

My finished designs for Luxray! I really like how these turned out, and I look forward to drawing them more now that I've figured out how I want them to look.

I should start using the later evolutions for Jala from now on, with the "baby" version showing up every now and then. I'll also eventually post Hilda's Corviknight evolution line sometime soon.

Playing around with my shinx design, so here's more of my baby Jala 💙 plus one luxio design.

I have no clue how to format random sketches and make them look cohesive 🙃 but this looks okay to me.

I've been playing around with a different set up for doing more art on the go with a new tablet. So far it's been pretty good! I'm still not used to all the features the tablet offers, but I'm very excited to have more freedom with where I can draw instead of being stuck at a computer.

Anywho! A Mimikyu called Mani now joins the group, and thus the trio is complete! I look forward to exploring their dynamic and drawing them all together again in the future.

I want to be more regular with my posting eventually, but I hope the more detailed illustration suffices for now! I don't make backgrounds or do shading very often either, so that was fun to try out on the tablet as well!

I've been busy again... so I've had less time to draw again... but there are more Pokébeans to come! I plan to eventually do something more with these guys as proper characters and step away from the actual franchise, but for now I'm happy just making them my little creatures hanging out together.

Hilda has a buddy with her now! A shinx named Jala. One more friend is expected to join them soon, but for now, this cute drawing of them exploring together!
