I Spy With My Little Eye {Closed}
He snorted, trying to hold back laughter. Did she think think she could scare him with her threats? Sure, she was intimidating, but he felt that he could take her without her precious Jackal beside her. Lilath wasn’t anything to be taken lightly, so he wasn’t going to let his guard down. He managed to tear open a wolf, and just hoped that his nails were still sharp enough to tear her apart.
Sevro didn’t answer her question as to why he was here. He felt no need to tell her anything. He played with his own knife, but kept her eyes fixed on her. If he looked away for even a moment, she could get the best of him. Sevro was still fast, very fast, when it came to running. But his leg hurt too much right now to run.
“Oh please, how do you think I managed to get in here? I’ve taken out of a few people.” It wasn’t a lie. The good thing about be small is that you can hide easily and attack when needed. It was tiresome, but doable.
Perhaps it was stupid to come here, but he had to find Darrow. Now that he knew it was a trick, he had to get out. There wasn’t anyway to tell his Howlers, who waited for him, to back him up.
“Right now, it’s just me and you. But if you would kindly fuck off, I’ve got a place to be.”
Laughter filled the air once more as the girl threw her head back and allowed the sound to escape her lips. Though still somewhat human in appearance, her mannerisms and overall disheveled appearance left her looking more animalistic than ever before. Despite the new hair color, it was something she was still attempted to get used to despite the fact that the Jackal claimed to like it.
“You’ve taken out a few people? That’s cute. I’m sure I’ve killed more men with my bare hands than you have with your pretty little knives and whatever else the Reaper gives his lapdogs to kill his enemies. Ever get tired of fighting other people’s battles, little man?” Every word was said in the utmost sardonic tone and the smirk upon her lips was a tell-tale sign of how much she was enjoying herself. The blonde failed to realize how similar she was to Sevro in some ways; also playing the lapdog and fighting battles that weren’t exactly hers. However, she felt that her love for the Jackal (if she was even capable of such feelings) was a good excuse to justify her actions.
“No can do, little man. I’m in charge here and one word from me and my men would gladly rip you apart. Perhaps I’ll send your head to the Reaper. Normally we eat all but the bones but you look distasteful. Master wouldn’t be satisfied in tasting you but he’d love to kill you.” Once again, she smirked and brought her knife up to her lips, licking phantom blood off the blade. “Why are you here, anyway? Your lack of explaining shit is getting boring for me and I may just kill you now because of that. Master would be upset but it’s nothing I couldn’t fix. Leave now or I’ll be forced to do something you’re quite honestly not ready to deal with. The Reaper isn’t here to protect you.”
